The first thing I did was Google the company so that I could find out a little more about what they do and what customer they were trying to reach. I Googled many variations of the company name to no avail. Why couldn't I find them? They have NO website! When I went back to the company to inquire about this, they said that the upper management wanted to keep things as they had for over 80 years by placing ads in the yellow pages and rely on a direct mail campaign. I must say, I was a little taken back by this. Why in today's technology age, when you can reach millions of people on a daily basis, would you not have a website? It is rare that you come across a company that does not have a web presence. Larger companies know the importance of having a web presence and also being active in an on-line conversation. However, small businesses are finding it harder to compete in this day and age without a website. Some key take away points: - If you don't have a website and you want to stay competitive, you should create one TODAY!

Page 7 of 8 - Your website is a reflection of your company without someone standing at your front door - If you do have one, focus your efforts on SEO (search engine optimization) - Have engaging content - Make sure that you use keywords so that you can rank high in Google rankings (when people search for your company via Google) - SEO is an ongoing task that requires an initial time investment but the rewards are great - Companies with long term media exposure reach more people than any advertisement can generate - Proper SEO techniques today will lead to long-term growth tomorrow Contact us today: Right Side Office Solutions Kelly Dunning, Principal P.O.
