Sponsorship Opportunities Chamber Golf Classic Held late summer, early fall, this annual golf outing is one of the premiere networking events of the Chamber. The tournament alternates between Broadland Creek National Golf Course and the Huron Country Club annually. The format is traditionally a 9-hole, four person scramble, with dinner and awards ceremony. Huron Ringneck Festival Thirty 6-person teams from across the United States take part in this competitive hunt. Area landowners donate hunting rights to their land for a Saturday hunt. Teams take to the field with only 4 shells each to bag their 3 bird per person limit. The teams are accompanied by 2 scorekeepers to enforce rules and tag birds. The team with the most birds who turns in the most unused shells wins new shot guns for each member of their team and one for the landowner who provided the hunt. The night prior to the hunt the teams are auctioned off in a team Calcutta. In recent years the Calcutta winners have taken home over $15,000. Turkey Races Teams of two try to encourage a turkey across the finish line for a chance to win a $1000 nest egg. Takes place every spring in downtown Huron. Event proceeds go towards a community or civic cause identified prior to the event. Leadership Huron Program Sponsor This nine month program (third Thursday of every month, September through May), is designed to enhance leadership development and business skills, create community awareness and participation, and establish professional networking opportunities.
