Executive Summary The E2ReBuild web site www.e2rebuild.eu was set up in February 2011 and has since then been the hub for the dissemination of news, results and networking in relation to the E2ReBuild project. The portal consists of two parts the external website and the internal team site for the project partners and consortium. Downloadable material such as project reports, various guidelines, programme promotion material and presentations is an important part of the web site. The aim with the website is to present information regarding the project and the progress of the demonstration buildings and the RTD work. The E2ReBuild web portal, www.e2rebuild.eu, has continuously been updated with new information on demo development, project news and results. A LinkedIn group E2ReBuild - Transforming the retrofitting construction sector! has been established to enable interactive discussion on E2REBuild related topics as well as spreading general information regarding the project and the dissemination of results. The final result of D7.2 Web Portal is the creation and maintenance of a Web portal for public and internal use. More information regarding E2ReBuild dissemination and communication is found in the reports: D7.1 Disseminations Activities: Summary of all dissemination activities Final report on use and dissemination Figure 1: www.e2rebuild.eu D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 3/14

1 Web Communication/Dissemination The development and maintenance of a project website was a central part of the dissemination activities of the E2ReBuild project. The aim of the E2ReBuild project was to transform the retrofit construction sector. Therefore the project needed to ensure that the many results, findings and lesson learned was spread and made known and available to individuals, groups and sectors in a position to influence and bring about change in order to achieve real and abiding transformation. The objective of the E2ReBuild website was to form a platform for the dissemination and communication for the E2ReBuild project and as such assist in creating awareness, deeper understanding, and support for the project. The target groups for the project web site (and other dissemination activities) were early on in the project defined in the E2ReBuild Communication Strategy: Defined target groups: public and private building owners, End-users, the European construction sector, Small and medium-sized companies in the construction sector, Industry organisations, e.g. industrial federations, workers unions, lobby organisations, etc., European and national authorities, Research community To ensure that the information and downloadable material found on the website www.e2rebuild.eu will be available to stakeholders and other interested parties after the project has ended, the website will be active for at least 5 years. The information of the website has been continuously updated with new and relevant information and all partners of the E2ReBuild project have been involved in providing the website with updated material, information, news and links. D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 5/14

2 Web Portal for External Use - www.e2rebuild.eu The E2ReBuild web site was structured and designed to effectively disseminate project related information and to ensure a high impact of the project results, both from the demonstrations as well as the supporting research work. The visual appearance of the web site was created to match the graphical profile of the project and the structure was developed with the aim that the information should be presented in a professional, clear and informative fashion. www.e2rebuild.eu Internal work area Linked In About E2ReBuild Demonstrations Publications Links Contact Partners News Augsburg Knowledge transfer Expected Results Halmstad Newsletter RTD work Munich Public deliverables Results Oulu Roosendaal London Voiron Figure 2: Description of web site structure D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 6/14

The first page (index page) of the E2ReBuild acts as the store front of the project and contains a shorter description of the project, information on aims and visions of E2ReBuild, as well as the most recently published project related news. It also shows three short cut boxes designed to highlight shortcuts to pages within the website structure. The content of these boxes could be changed at any time to highlight project development. Figure 3: The index site of the E2reBuild website: www.e2rebuild.eu 2.1 About E2ReBuild The About section displays more detailed information regarding the E2ReBuild project aims and visions, see Figure 4. D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 7/14

Figure 4: About E2ReBuild The section also contains information on the expected results of the project, a more in depth description of the RTD work programme and work packages; Innovation in Planning and Design, Innovation in Technology and Construction, Innovation in Operation and Use and The Industrial platform for energy-efficient retrofitting. Summaries and full versions of the public E2ReBuild reports are found under Results in this section as well E2ReBuild related News and events. Figure 5: Expected results and RTD work programme 2.1.1 The European Retrofit Advisor Design Tool In the About section under Innovation in Planning and Design the reader can find information regarding the European Retrofit Advisor design tool an on-line tool that allows a simple but detailed evaluation of retrofit options for apartment buildings. D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 8/14

The tool was originally created by EMPA and has been further developed within the E2ReBuild project. The E2ReBuild participating countries has integrated their own key figures and building types to adapt the tool to a wide range of European building types. A direct link to the European Retrofit Adviser is also posted on the index (front) page of www.e2rebuild.eu. More information about The European Retrofit Advisor Design Tool can be found in D3.6 European Retrofit Advisor. Figure 6: The European Retrofit advisor 2.1.2 Integrated Industrial Platform for Energy Efficient Retrofitting The Industrial Platform is an efficient and useful tool for practitioners, construction companies, building users and owners interested in retrofitting of their buildings or specialized in this kind of works. The Industrial Platform is based on the E2ReBuild demonstrations and is the foundation on which all stakeholders may build their own methods for energy-efficient, industrial refurbishment. As an introduction, the process map of the platform can be reached from the E2ReBuild website. More information about the Integrated Industrial Platform for Energy Efficient Retrofitting can be found in D6.1 Concept of Industrial Platform for Retrofitting and in D6.2 Barriers & Opportunities. 2.2 Demonstrations In the Demonstrations section of the web site the seven E2ReBuild demonstration buildings are displayed. The demonstration sites are located in Augsburg, Germany; Halmstad, Sweden; Munich, Germany; Oulu, Finland; Roosendaal, the Netherlands; London, Great Britain; Voiron, France. D7.2 Web Portal 2014-06-24 9/14

On each demonstration site, information regarding the retrofit concept, facts on the demonstration building, contact information to the demonstration leader are found. Records of the development and pictures of the demonstrations are also displayed here. Figure 7: Individual demonstration pages 2.3 Publications and Knowledge Transfer The publication area of the site gathers the different publications produced by the project: Public Deliverables, reports, newsletters and information material. The material is downloadable and available for external use by professionals, media and consumers. Knowledge transfer is a central function of E2ReBuild. The partners of E2ReBuild all have experience from other energy efficiency projects, both EU-collaboration projects and others. Sharing of experience from earlier projects is one way to promote knowledge transfer between partners. In the publication section of the E2REBuild website the reader can find a list of presentations of some of the projects that E2ReBuild partners have taken part in. 2.4 Links To make sure that the visitor to the E2ReBuild web site will be exposed to further information relating to the E2ReBuild projects topics and issues, the web site has a Links section. In the Links section digital links to organisations, associations and related projects are displayed. In order to foster knowledge transfer and cooperation with other projects contact has been made with projects and programmes with similar or related scope, in order to set up links to enhance web traffic to and from the E2ReBuild website. 2.5 Contacts Feedback and interaction from stakeholders is important to the E2ReBuild project. To make feedback possible and to foster interaction with stakeholders and other projects the Contact page contains relevant contact information to all the E2ReBuild coordinators as well as Work package Leaders.
