TO REGISTER Click Below MBR REGISTRATION : Full payment is due upon registration through DoubleKnot. *MERIT BADGE BALANCING 2 + 1 = 3 CLASSES (Introduced in 2013) During the registration process, a Scout may register for up to three merit badges. When a Scout registers for three classes, one of the classes must be an elective merit badge. A Scout may take two required merit badges with the third one being an elective. On My Honor Scouts and Leaders should ensure that this is being upheld. * Special accommodation may requested for a scout who has registered online and only needs required merit badges to complete their Eagle merit badge requirements. Requests are to be addressed to the MBR Chair.

ADMISSIONS AND STANDARDS MBR is for registered Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venture Scouts, primarily, in the Thunderbird District yet all Scouts are welcomed. Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain the BSA standards while on the premises. These include modesty in dress and conduct, and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco and harmful drugs. We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. Prior to registration, applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss the program content and available facilities with the MBR Chair. Scouts are to wear the official Field Duty Uniform (commonly known as Class A uniform). Visit the Grand Canyon Scout Shop at 2969 North Greenfield, Phoenix, AZ 85016 / (602) 955-7747 for your Scouting needs. LIMITED WALK-UP REGISTRATION Early Online Registration Is Encouraged There may be some walk up space available during Session 1 - Walk-Up Registration. HOWEVER, space may be limited so there is no guarantee whether class space will be available during Walk-Up Registration. Experience has shown that most of the Eagle required merit badge courses are usually the first to fill up along with the smaller elective classes; therefore, we encourage early online registration. A non-refundable registration fee is required. During Walk-Up Registration, available Merit Badge Classes by will be posted. IF there is availability, a Post-IT will be placed under the merit badge name by class hour. As Scouts are registered for a class, Post-ITs are removed. When the Post-ITs are all removed, this implies that the class, for that class time, is full.

Be prepared Be prepared Be prepared Be prepared Be prepared BE PREPARED Come in full uniform. Fill out Merit Badge Application (BLUE Card) for EACH merit badge. Complete pre-requisites. Merit Badge Workbooks are located at: http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp In accordance with the advancement policy on group merit badge instruction, each Scout will pass off his requirements individually. Attendance alone is not enough to earn a merit badge. Requirements must be completed for the Scout to receive credit. Merit badges may require work outside of MBR. Scouts, please be seated. It is important that every Scout has a seat. Class sizes will be determined by: Demand Room capacity Course material If the course material can accommodate a larger audience and the registration demand is supportive, classes will be scheduled in larger class rooms.
