The St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarship Program The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarships program is designed to assist students financially to achieve their academic, professional and community leadership goals. It also intends to help build a commitment to the growth and preservation of the Canadian Ukrainian heritage within the overall Canadian fabric. The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarship Program may award up to six (6) scholarships annually to students who are currently enrolled in, or have been accepted into, a full-time program at an accredited post-secondary institution. The Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarships has two categories. The categories are: Post-Secondary studies: Annually, provides up to four (4) scholarships of $1,500.00 each. The post-secondary studies scholarship program is open to students who are members of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church within the Eastern Eparchy of Canada. Theology Studies: Annually, provides up to two (2) scholarships annually of $1,500.00 each. The two theology scholarship awards are open to students who are members of a Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Canada. Deadline for all applications: March 15, 2018

Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Successful applicants are asked to provide a photo for publication in the public media. Specific details will be sent to the successful applicants. Scholarship awards are normally presented to the successful applicants at the annual meeting of St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto. Saint Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto Scholarship for Theology Deadline for Application: All applications and documentation must be received at St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto by March 15, 2018 Description of Award Two (2) scholarships grant annually of $1,500.00 each. The award will be made to a candidate who: - is a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox church of Canada. - is enrolled full-time in a post-secondary institution in a field of study that will lead to a degree in Theology. - shows above average academic skills. - demonstrates leadership and community involvement The scholarship will be paid in one sum. Criteria Candidates must specifically meet all of the following criteria: A. Must submit an appropriate introductory covering letter. B. Be a parish member of a Ukrainian Orthodox church of Canada. Candidates must provide a letter from their parish priest or president of the parish council verifying the applicant s membership. C. Be a citizen of Canada or landed immigrant. Verification of citizenship or immigrant status is required. Photocopy is acceptable. D. Be enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies at an accredited university or college in a field of study that will lead to a degree in Theology. E. Have completed their prior-year study with a minimum average of 80% or GPA equivalent. Official transcripts of previous year s and most recent marks are required. All applications shall be carefully considered. F. Must submit a resume describing academic achievements, community involvement, future goals and aspirations. G.
