AMOUNT: $500/ for the year TYPE OF AWARD: Pays in fall & spring semesters only ONE SEWELL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Outstanding upper-division junior in Wildlife or Fisheries, achievement and involvement in career related activities (student professional organizations) academics, and work in that order. AFANASIEV DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP Any graduate student pursuing a degree in Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Forest Resources option may be eligible for this $2,200 fellowship. FAYE ALLENE RIFE BROWN SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Forest Ecology and Management students attending OSU Summer Camp are eligible for this award. This award assists forestry students with summer camp expenses in a learning experience in Natural Resources. DURATION: Summer Term TYPE OF AWARD: Pays in summer semester MULITIPLE BROWN SCHOLARSHIPS ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Sophomore or junior-level forestry student attending summer camp. HOW TO APPLY: Brown summer camp scholarships application forms are available from Scholarship Committee and emailed to all forestry students in February/March each year. FLICK FORESTRY RANGER AWARD This award is given to a Forest Ecology and Management senior student who demonstrates potential to succeed in the Profession of Forestry, involvement in clubs and other professional activities. TYPE OF AWARD: Pays in spring semester only ONE FLICK RANGER AWARD ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Demonstrated involvement in clubs and professional activities, not necessary to be the top academically. HOW TO APPLY: The Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management Scholarships and Awards Committee make the selection considering all forestry seniors graduating in the current calendar year. FOUTCH SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIP Ms. Carolyn Jacob Foutch of Council Bluffs, Iowa, established this scholarship to assist students attending Forest Resource Field Studies Summer Camps 1 & 2 with expenses. AMOUNT: $700/ year TYPE OF AWARD: Cash Scholarship: Pays in summer only. TWO FOUTCH SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Demonstrated financial need and not receiving any other scholarships, non-repayable loans or grants during the summer semester. AMOUNT: $500/ semester for 2 semesters TYPE OF AWARD: Pays in fall and spring semesters only ONE JONES SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: GPA 3.30 or better and is required to write an essay describing their career goals in addition to the scholarship application.
MATTHEW ALLEN SCHEIDT ENDOWED MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP The scholarship recognizes a Natural Resource Ecology and Management junior or senior majoring in Wildlife Ecology and Management or Fisheries and Aquatic Ecology. LEW MEIBERGEN HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP IN RANGELAND MANAGEMENT The Lew Meibergen Honorary Scholarship is annually to a full-time student at Oklahoma State Univeristy, classified as a junior or senior, with documented financial need. OKLAHOMA RANGELAND HERITAGE SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP Consideration for the Oklahoma Rangeland Heritage Society Endowed Scholarship the recipient must be a full-time student in Natural Resource Ecology and Management with a declared major in Rangeland Ecology and Management or Fire Ecology Option. AMOUNT: $1,000/ year TYPE OF AWARD: Pays in fall and spring semesters ONE OK RANGELAND SCHOLARSHIP ANNUALLY ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Completed at least sixty (60) credit hours and have a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Must have documented extracurricular and/or club activities. A letter of recommendation prepared by a faculty member must accompany each application.
OUACHITA SOCIETY OF AMERICAN FORESTERS SCHOLARSHIP The Ouachita Society of American Foresters offers this $500 scholarship on a rotating basis with the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Oklahoma State University, Natural Resource Ecology and Management receive the scholarship only during odd-numbered years.
