Goal Provide TRB Standing Committees with the Knowledge and Tools to: 1. Identify Research Needs within their Scope of Coverage (Develop Research Needs Statements (RNS)) Vetted by TRB committee(s) Written in relation to previous research and research currently in progress Entered into RNS database
Goal (cont.) 2. Increase the Probability that Research Needs will be Conducted (Secure Funding for RNS) Knowledge of funding entities, their requirements, timeframes, etc. Monitor status 3. Disseminate Information on Relevant Ongoing and Completed Research in a Timely and Effective Manner
