1. New form features The following are some features that have been incorporated in the online PV Form to further improve its useability: 1. Applicants can now make the required statutory declarations when the form is submitted. 2. Mandatory fields have been introduced to ensure you provide SA Power Networks with all the relevant information we require to process PV applications. 3. You can now submit one application form with multiple inverter model details. 4. The ability to show or hide sections of the form to provide users with information that is relevant to their application. Page 3 of 13

Installer/Customer process flow SA Power Networks Small Embedded Generator Customer application process (Effective 1 st Effective December November 14 th 2011 2010 ) START Step 1 Installer/Customer goes to SA Power Networks website & submits PV SEG Application using On- Line application form Application is submitted and automatically verified. Automated Email sent to Installer/Customer with Rejection reason NO Is a SEG Agreement Required? NO Meets all SA Power Neworks Business Rules? YES Installer/Customer receive Email with Application Ref number and Terms & Conditions Step 2 Customer required to sign Terms & Conditions and post/email/fax back to SA Power Networks (last page only) YES Step 3 SA Power Networks will email Installer/Customer PV SEG Approval Number Step 4 Installer/Customer can now proceed to Form A process via Retailer for meter change. Step 1 Complete and submit a PV SEG application request 1. Go to the following web page and click on the appropriate link to the open the online form: SA Power Networks Embedded Generation Page 2. Select the required application type and respond to the question regarding the dominant purpose for this SEG installation 3. Complete the application form 4. Note: Mandatory fields are indicated with an asterisk (*) and will require an entry. The form will not be successfully submitted until all mandatory fields are filled in. Refer to the following pictures for samples of the PV Forms and their respective mandatory fields: Page 5 of 13

5. When the form has been completed, the captcha function will appear once the eligibility statement has been acknowledged by the user. This captcha component must be completed before the form can be submitted. 6. Click on the Submit button to send the form to SA Power Networks via the web. Note: The Print button can be used to produce a hard copy of the form for your own record. The Print button does not submit your form. 7. Once the submit button is clicked, the receipt message will appear that contains the application reference number which can be used to direct enquiries to the SA Power Networks Customer Service Team. This message may take several minutes to come through. Please be patient. 8. If the request meets all SA Power Networks business rules you will move directly to Step 3 PLEASE NOTE: If the Peak Capacity is less then 5KW, for a residential or domestic customer and you do not receive automatic approval please contact SA Power Networks as either the application has not been received or the customer already has an existing application in the system. 3. Step 2 Receive, sign and return the PV SEG terms and conditions 1. Once you have submitted your form to SA Power Networks, if the Peak Capacity of the system is 5kW or above, and is classified as a Rural, Commercial or Industrial customer, you will be required to enter into an agreement. You will be sent a confirmation of your application along with terms and conditions, as shown below. This confirmation will be sent to the email address supplied on the application. Page 9 of 13
2. Print out the terms and conditions and complete/sign where required. Complete this Section. Complete this Section. 4. Step 3 - Receive PV SEG approval reference number 1. Once SA Power Networks have received your signed terms and conditions they evaluate your request and either reject or approve 2. If approved you will be sent an approval letter along with your PV SEG approval reference number as shown below. The letter will be sent to the email address supplied on the application. 3. You will then be able to lodge your application (Form A) via the customers retailer For any queries or changes that need to be made to an application please email seg@sapowernetworks.com.au or contact the Solar Enquiries line on 1300 665 913. Please note: If you require any changes to be made to your SEG application/approval you will need to provide all the relevant information in writing. This includes NMI, customer name, address and application number and the details of the change. Page 11 of 13
5. Step 4 Request meter change via customer retailer 1. Once SA Power Networks has issued the SEG approval reference number, the application to have the metering changed via the customers retailer, can be made. 2. If the registered electrical contractor is a REX user they can utilise the REX system to enter the SEG approval reference number: SA Power Networks REX home page 3. If not, a paper based Form A will need to be lodged via the customers retailer and the SEG approval reference number quoted in the section shown below. The Form A must be the most recent version and it can be located on the SA Power Networks website Page 12 of 13
