Scope The Renewable Energy Sources - Research and Business (RESRB 2016) conference is designed as a platform for reporting, discussing and disseminating recent developments in renewable energy science, technology and business. Participants from academia, NGOs, associations, industry and other business will attend. It is an international event with ambitions to share leading research and business expertise and to be one of the most influential renewable energy communication channels in Poland, Eastern Europe and beyond. The conference is a must for research groups at the cutting edge of renewable energy science and technology as well as for business participants seeking innovations and expanding to new markets. It will facilitate synergies between research and business participants. Business delegates may benefit from sponsoring, exhibiting and networking. RESRB 2016 is particularly focused on developed and developing countries applying green growth policies. Each of conferences within RESRB series will have its geographical focus putting emphasis on regionally tailored solutions. The first RESRB 2016 will focus on Central and Eastern Europe. The attendees may communicate either through oral or poster presentations within dedicated conference sessions. The participation mode can be either in-person or virtual. The conference will make available to participants digital Conference Proceedings including all accepted contributions. Draft manuscripts will be reviewed by RESRB international referees and review outcomes communicated to authors before the conference. After the conference selected contributions will be recommended for submittal to special issues of journals or an edited book associated with the conference. Publications Extended abstract/article in digital Conference Proceedings Extended abstract/article submitted to the conference will be published in the peer-reviewed digital Conference Proceedings. The length of an extended abstract is 1 page. Exceptionally, an article up to 8 pages can be published in digital Conference Proceedings. In case you wish to submit article instead of an extended abstract please contact the Conference Chair. Peer-review procedure: (i) a minimum of two independent reviewers review submissions, (ii) final extended abstract/article must be approved by two reviewers. Articles in special issues of journals All contributions presented at the RESRB 2016 conference will be recommended for publication in special issues of journals. The first special issues will be published by Energy, Ecology and Environment (Springer). Special Issue title - Renewable Energy Sources - Research and Business (RESRB) 2016: Selected conference articles on environmental aspects of renewable energy systems. The second special issues will be published by Journal of Power Technologies (WUT). Special Issue title - Renewable Energy Sources - Research and Business (RESRB) 2016: Selected conference articles on renewable power technologies. Special Issues in other partner journals will be announced soon. Peer-review procedures will be consistent with journals standards. Typically, at least two independent reviewers must approve the final manuscript. Chapters in an edited book Some contributions presented at the RESRB 2016 conference, in addition to Special Issue recommendation, will be recommended for publication in an edited book titled Renewable Energy Sources - Research and Business (RESRB 2016): Selected conference contributions. The authors will be asked to choose between Special Issue and an edited book. The edited book will be published by Springer within series Green Energy and Technology. Each chapter will receive a DOI number and will be indexed in databases such as Web of Knowledge and Scopus as a citable item. Peer review procedure: (i) two independent reviewers review manuscripts, (ii) a maximum of 10 manuscripts is assigned to a single reviewer, (iii) final chapter must be approved by two reviewers, (iv) all review reports sent to Springer. All submissions will be checked with anti-plagiarism software. If plagiarism is detected or a similarity index is too high, manuscripts will be sent back to authors or rejected. In addition please send written notice in paper by normal post to the conference organising committee address. Cancellation more than 91 days prior to the first open day of the conference - 50% of the total charge as a cancellation penalty provided that written notice in paper is received by the organising committee. Cancellation 91 days or less prior to the first open day of the conference - 100% of the total charge as a cancellation penalty. Modes of participation In-person participation is when an attendee is physically present at the conference. For in-person participants the conference fee includes the following services: (i) abstract/article for Conference Proceedings peer review, (ii) abstract/article publication in the digital Conference Proceedings, (iii) journal special issue/edited book recommendation, (iv) oral/poster presentation at the conference (the first submission is oral, additional submissions are poster), (v) social programme, (vi) coffee, drinks, etc.
Virtual participation is when an attendee is unable or unwilling to participate physically at the conference and his/her poster is communicated to other participants during poster sessions. For virtual participants a conference fee includes the following services: (i) abstract/article for Conference Proceedings peer review, (ii) abstract/article publication in the digital Conference Proceedings, (iii) journal special issue/edited book recommendation. Virtual participation is specifically designed to facilitate involvement of underdeveloped countries for which renewable energy is important for achieving sustainable economic development. Logistics The Wrocław airport has connections with several major European and international airports. From the airport you may reach the conference venue by free buses on evening 22 VI and depart on morning 25 VI. The bus schedule will match most occupied flights. The travel by bus takes about 15 minutes. Please send us your arrival and departure information to allow for the optimisation of the bus schedule. The conference venue may be also reached from the airport by taxi at a typical cost of about 50-60 PLN. Accommodation The organising committee is capable of booking hotel rooms, breakfasts and lunches at special rates. Participants provide appropriate selections in a Conference participation order form.
