NTU Music Scholarship Application Form for offer holders Nottingham Trent University is pleased to offer prestigious scholarships to support the development of our students musical talents. These competitive scholarships provide a set duration of free music tuition, and are available to applicants who have received an offer to study on an eligible course starting in September 2018 and January 2019. This application form can be used to apply for: NTU Music Scholarship This scholarship scheme is competitive and we will award scholarships to applicants who most closely meet or exceed the criteria for the award. The scholarship decision will be made by a panel chaired by the Director of Music and all decisions are final. The scholarship will provide you with a set monetary value and time period of paid vocal or instrument tuition. How to apply Complete this application form make sure you fill in all relevant sections. Email your form to music@ntu.ac.uk There is no deadline to apply but as scholarships are limited, we would advise you to apply as early as you can. Applications received after all scholarships have been awarded will not be considered. We will contact you with our decision within four weeks of your audition (if you live in the UK) or within four weeks of receiving your completed application (if you live outside the UK).

Audition details We may invite you to attend an audition at the University. This will take place in front of the Director of Music and last for a maximum of 20 minutes. You will be asked to perform two contrasting pieces (maximum of ten minutes combined). To be eligible for consideration for a scholarship, applicants must have been offered a place on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at NTU or Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies. Offer holders are only eligible to apply for a scholarship if they are due to enrol on the first year of their course in September 2018 or January 2019. We will consider all scholarship applications up to the point that all scholarships have been awarded and there are none remaining.
5. 6. The scholarship is not transferable and will not be awarded if you choose to defer your entry to a different start date. Applicants based in the UK will be informed whether they have (or have not) been awarded a scholarship (and of the value of the scholarship award if they have been awarded) within four weeks of their audition. 7. Applicants based outside of the UK will be information whether they have (or have not) been awarded a scholarship (and of the value of the scholarship award if they have been awarded) within four weeks of their completed application being received. 8. The scholarship will be awarded when an applicant accepts their scholarship offer, accepts and meets the conditions of their course offer, and has enrolled on the course. 9. Scholarships are competitive and selection is based on the information provided on the scholarship application form, and your audition or performance recordings. It is, therefore, of great importance that you give your scholarship statement careful thought and preparation. 10. As a scholarship recipient, we expect to be a member of at least one of NTU Music s ensembles. Full commitment to both music tuition and ensemble attendance is compulsory. Failure to do so may result in your scholarship being revoked. 11. The University s decision in all matters relating to the scholarship is final. 12. If your scholarship application is successful, we may ask you to appear in online and / or printed University marketing materials. For example, providing a student profile and a photograph which may be used to promote the University and the University s scholarship schemes and courses.
