EU-China High Level People-to-People Dialogue (HPPD) HPPD covers education, multilingualism, culture, youth and gender equality HPPD represents third pillar of EU-China relations (other two pillars: High Level Economic and Trade Dialogue and High Level Strategic Dialogue) HPPD helps build mutual trust and consolidate intercultural understanding between EU and China

EU-China cooperation under Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) - Short-term mobility of learners and staff from and to Partner Countries, managed under agreements between an HEI in a Programme Country and an HEI in a Partner Country - International strand to fund 135,000 scholarships for mobility with partner countries (2014-2020) - Mobility for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students and for staff
Chinese participation - ICM First two years of implementation (2015 and 2016): 2909 beneficiaries (1457 under the first call and 1452 under the second call) 1866 (939+927) are Chinese learners/staff studying in the EU and 1043 (518+525) are EU learners/staff studying in China) In previous years (2007-2013) a similar action allowed for credit mobility of some 1700 Chinese individuals Erasmus+
EU-China cooperation under Erasmus+ Erasmus Mundus Joint Degrees (EMJD) - Excellent integrated masters courses offered by a consortium of HEIs from around the world, offering scholarship opportunities and degrees for students - 350 Joint Master Degree courses to be selected, 2014-2020 - Expected to fund 30,000 students and staff over 7 years
Chinese participation - EMJD Under first three calls for degrees 70 Joint Masters Degrees were selected with participation of 14 Chinese HEIs. Under the three calls for scholarships 156 Chinese students have received full degree scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees and 33 Chinese nationals a scholarship for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates. EU-China cooperation under Erasmus+ Capacity Building for higher education (CB) 1. - International partnerships with long-lasting structural impact on modernisation and internationalisation of HEIs and systems in Partner Countries 2. - Joint Projects: new curricula, joint degrees, learning/teaching methodologies, staff development, quality assurance, governance, Bologna tools 3. - Structural Projects: reforms at national level with support of authorities in Partner Countries (policy modernisation, governance/management of HE systems, Bologna policies )
