TED TED is a global community focused on meaningful change through the power of ideas. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Since then, its scope has become even broader, from science to business to global issues in more than 100 languages, online and in the real world. Today, many of the world s leading thinkers and doers share their ideas at TED or on TED.com. www.ted.com TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. These events are open source, local and community driven events that inspire innovation, thought leadership and visionary insight. Our event is called TEDxNorthernSydneyInstitute, where x=independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised. Our Event Our TEDx organisers are made up of teachers, students and staff from the Northern Sydney Institute, part of TAFE NSW. We are passionate about all things TED and as educators, are in the business of spreading good ideas every day. Sponsor Information TEDxNorthernSydneyInstitute is a not-for-profit event that is only possible with the help of partners that are committed to the power of ideas worth spreading. We are reaching out to a select group of organisations to contribute in the form of purchased sponsorship or in-kind donations. This is an opportunity for you to support a community initiative and align your organisation to an internationally recognised brand with a worldwide following.
