The Commonwealth-Asia Young Entrepreneur Challenge Seeker to Creator The Commonwealth Young Entrepreneurs Alliance - Asia (CAYE - Asia) is seeking for top young entrepreneurs across the eight Commonwealth-Asia countries to participate in the alliance s annual Young Entrepreneur Challenge 2015. The CAYE Young Entrepreneur Challenge is convened in the lead up to the 4th CAYE Young Entrepreneur Summit that will be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia from 30 October to 2 November 2015. Recognizing that youth form a vital part of the global entrepreneurship equation, the challenge seeks to provide a platform for young entrepreneurs in the region to showcase impactful business enterprises that address societal challenge. The challenge is open to entrepreneurs between 20 to 35 years old from Bangladesh, Brunei, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal Pakistan, Singapore and Sri Lanka with existing businesses. Theme: The theme Seeker to Creator aims to search for inspiring young entrepreneurs who are contributing to the development of the Commonwealth Asia region through job creations, community development activities and partnerships within the region. Nomination Criteria: The nominee must: a) be engaged in business in any of the Commonwealth - Asia countries; b) demonstrate that he/ she has created opportunities for others as a result of the business endeavour; c) exercise excellence in entrepreneurial and business leadership; d) be regarded in his/her country with integrity and know for practising good business ethics. e) be aged 20-35 years. f) have started the business in the last 2-3 years and ideally have no family business linkage to this enterprise.

Judging Criteria: 1. Business Acumen Consideration is given to the ability of the candidates in taking advantage of business opportunities within the region, solving challenges along the way as well as in setting corporate directions and effectively implementing plans to achieve targets and objectives set. Judges will also consider the overall impact on the performance of the company in terms of profitability. 2. Involvement in Non-Profit Organizations in CAYE-Asia Consideration is given to concrete achievements in corporate social responsibility as a result of the candidate s involvement in business and civic organizations. Consideration is given to the candidate s contribution in initiating and implementing programs that benefit specific sectors and the CAYE-Asia country in general. 3. Leadership Qualities Consideration is given to the ability of the candidate to steer his/her company to a position of strength and stability as well as high level of standards such as company performance for the last 2-3 years. Previous recognitions and awards earned by the company or entrepreneur will also carry weight. 4. Integrity Consideration is given to the candidate s background and character and how he/she is perceived by his/her peers and the community in his/ her country. 5. Achievement in Job Creation Consideration is given to the candidate s achievement in providing job opportunities as a result of the business. To join the challenge: 1) Fill in the form.
