4 Accelerator PIEDATA is the marketplace for Caribbean innovation and the leading platform for Regional Hackathons, International Summits, and youth innovation forums in the Caribbean. We are a Hybrid Accelerator that unites and connects Caribbean innovators, incubators, and investors with the world. Our goal is to help Caribbean Startups gain access to Venture Capital which will establish an ecosystem for Caribbean made Innovation. PIEDATA~ Think Caribbean Innovation it all starts with your imagination. Introduction On January 27 th, 2015 PIEDATA launched its first Caribbean Youth Forum in Paramaribo, Suriname. Through a strategic alliance with CANTO Caribbean and TELESUR, we had a successful event. Also, in Miami on the 27 th -29 th of July, 2015 CANTO Caribbean and PIEDATA in collaboration with DSS hosted CANTO C.O.D.E 1.0 which was a tremendous success. As CANTO Celebrates the 32nd Annual Conference & Trade Exhibition with the theme: INSPIRING ICT INNOVATIONS, we would like to contribute to this very relevant theme. It is no secret that when CANTO, DSS and PIEDATA come together, it has a positive impact on Caribbean Youths and Inspires Innovative solutions to be discovered, accelerated and funded. It is CANTO vision to set forth the progress we made last year at CANTO's Annual Conference in Miami with DSS and PIEDATA by partnering once again in launching CANTO C.O.D.E 2.0.

5 Competition Overview CANTOCODE 2.0 is to provide entrepreneurs and start-ups with a proven concept to pitch their ideas to local and international Accelerators and Investors. Similar to CODE1.0, the participating Hackers will pitch their Hack at the end of the 48-hour hackathon. We will then allow Caribbean start-ups with proven concepts or products and traction, to pitch their ideas to our panel of Investors and Accelerators at DEMODAY. This event would be carded within the normal framework of CANTO s Annual Trade and Exhibition show however this year CODE2.0 will start the hackathon on Sunday ending on Tuesday, with Tuesday being the official DEMODAY. CANTOCODE2.0 will take innovation to a completely new level and will allow new ideas to get their big opportunity at CANTO 32 nd Annual Trade & Exhibition. PIEDATA will serve as the official Accelerator and DSS as the Venture while partnering with some of the leading Investors and Accelerators in Silicon Valley Mecca of Innovation. This means endless opportunities for CODE2.0 participants in receiving support and guidance into the growth of their hack. C.O.D.E 2.0 Hackathon CANTOCODE 2.0 is a Software Developer, Design, and Entrepreneur Competition for Caribbean Nationals. This year s competition, being held in Puerto Rico seeks to bring together the best team of software developers and designers from the Caribbean region, with the aim to have them work on challenging but real world solutions. The competition will take place over 48 hours and the teams will be required to develop the most efficient and elegant solutions to a unique challenge that will be announced at the start of the competition. Our aim with the Hackathon is to engage all CANTO Caribbean countries, to have innovators comprising of qualified coders, programmers and designers from different countries to participate in this year s competition. These Caribbean Youths will be accommodated in Puerto Rico where they will be a part of a 48 hours Hackathon. At DEMODAY, the final day of the Hackathon, teams will be given the opportunity to pitch their final product for our Regional and International judges. DEMODAY The whole concept of DEMODAY is to title the presentation event for the hackathon and provide non-coding entrepreneurs and innovators the opportunity for a (3 min) Pitch of their idea or business in front of local and international investors and accelerators looking to fund Caribbean Startups. These Startups will be from Puerto Rico and regional countries to attend at their own expense, in order to have the opportunity of gaining an investment. Imagine the next big Million-dollar invention that was discovered in the Caribbean at CANTO CODE 2.0. It s possible, if you believe
