This Week at St. Patrick The Foundation of St. Patrick will be hosting the inaugural Foundation Celebration this Saturday, September 16, from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. in our gym on campus. This is a free event and is sure to be tons of fun with food, drinks, live music, and fellowship. Come find out what the Foundation of St. Patrick is all about and how you can join. Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTO meeting this past week. We are excited about forming our new PTO; it is our vision that the PTO will encourage parent involvement in our school as we continue to attain excellence in the areas of scholarship, discipleship, and championship by providing assistance in various campus activities and endeavors. As the premier college preparatory educational institution in South Mississippi, St. Patrick strives to help students perform their best on the ACT and PSAT. Last year, we increased our average composite ACT score to 26.1 - which is the highest of all schools in South Mississippi. We are excited to announce that we will be administering the ACT to all juniors and seniors on Tuesday, October 3, during the school day. Also, we will be administering the PSAT to all juniors on Wednesday, October 11. Both exams are free of charge and will be administered during the school day. Homecoming week is quickly approaching. Details about the week s event will be sent out very soon. St. Patrick car tags are still for sale we are in need of several more orders to secure our initial 300 tags. Visit www.stpatrickhighschool.net/cartag to register for yours today! Listed below are all of the events scheduled for this week. If you ever have any questions or need anything, just give us a call or reply to this email. Let's make it a great week! Matt Buckley Principal

Scripture of the Week Psalm 107:9: For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. The Bible cries out with one recurring truth: God quenches the thirst and satisfies the hunger of those who seek him. So often we try to soothe the ache in our soul and fill the emptiness in our heart with what is only a temporary satisfaction that only God's presence can fill. Let's refuse every false satisfaction and seek the Lord! Fighting Irish Athletic Recap Here are the team scores from last week s Fighting Irish athletic contests. The Fighting Irish varsity football team won 14 to 12 Friday night against Pope John Paul II to improve their overall record to 2-1. Go Irish! Congratulations to the junior high football team on their win on Thursday night 38 to 8 against the Sand Hill Bucks. Congratulations to the Lady Irish volleyball team! The Lady Irish defeated Sacred Heart on Thursday night in three straight sets. The Fighting Irish swim team had another strong performance against Ocean Springs and Vancleave. Jordan Pete finished third place for the girls cross country team in the Pascagoula/Gautier Invitational.
