This entertainment performance will captivate student s imagination, thanks to the interactive approach used by the storyteller. The program includes anecdotes, tales and legends that have marked the imagination of Quebecers through the centuries, and much more! 2:00 p.m. Depart for Old Quebec 2:30 p.m. Divide students into small groups 3:00 p.m. SCAVENGER HUNT IN OLD QUEBEC. Explore the Old Quebec at your own pace, by participating in a scavenger hunt. This activity is directed by a guide and does not require any specific knowledge of the surrounding area, all directions to follow being clearly indicated in the questionnaires. 4:30 p.m. Depart for Thomas Tan Restaurant 6:00 p.m. Included Dinner at THOMAS TAN RESTAURANT 6:00 p.m. Depart for the Martello Towers 6:30 p.m. SOLDIER FOR THE DAY AT MARTELLO TOWERS. Participate in the defence of Quebec City by occupying the Martello Tower and experiencing life in a garrison. There is also a workshop, where students can try the technique themselves. MARIE'S BREAD OVENS is a 150-year-old bread oven and a stone dwelling dating back to 1652. It now houses the fourth generation of Marie s family. Students will sample a slice of fresh-baked bread topped with maple butter. BASILICA SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRE has a chapel dedicated to Sainte Anne, mother of the virgin Mary.

As you walk the walls, you'll learn about the defense system of North America's only remaining fortified city. PROMENADE DES GOUVERNEURS runs from the Terrasse Dufferin and offers a unique view of the St. Lawrence River and the South Shore. CHÂTEAU FRONTENAC is a grand hotel in Quebec City. It was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1980. ARTISTS ALLEY where students can get their portrait painted as well as a variety of water coloured paintings. NOTRE DAME BASILICA is a richly decorated Church houses an impressive collection of artistic masterpieces. In the Crypt, all the past bishops of Quebec are buried. 4:00 p.m. Free time for souvenir shopping with-in area of supervision in LOWER TOWN to include: PLACE ROYALE is a famous town plaza in the heart of Historic Lower Town. It has been an important social center since the city's start when Champlain began building a fortified post in 1608 and began trading with the Indians. QUARTIER PETIT CHAMPLAIN is one of Lower Town's best-loved areas, this beautifully-restored collection of narrow streets and ancient stone buildings exemplifies the old-world charm.
