TOTAL BUDGET: 296.754,00 DURATION: 12 months OVERALL OBJECTIVES: To strengthen institutional cooperation between Partners to help the internationalisation process of SMEs; To stimulate the highest business opportunity of SMEs in the Adriatic area; Encouraging the establishment of long-term networks between SMEs of Italy and Balkans To develop Capacity Building activities to use European Funds and Schemes

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES To promote the Technical-Financial Instrument for Balkan SMEs, offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, amongst Serbian SMEs To encourage the technological export of Italian equipment and know-how To improve Technical Assistance to SMEs through the establishment of a solid network based on Internationalisation Support Centres To encourage interaction through business meetings between SMEs

RELEVANCE It helps the creation of a favourable economic environment for SMEs in the Adriatic area It strengthens the local economic system It helps the private sector development

EXPECTED RESULTS Consolidation of trade relations between SMEs of the Adriatic area Business integration within the crossborder context Improvement of competitiveness of SMEs Development of a network between economic and institutional subjects Exchange of good practice and know-how

WORK PACKAGES WP1: Management WP2: Creation of Internationalisation Support Centres WP3: Swot Analysis & State of the Art WP4: Business Meetings WP5: Dissemination

WP2 - CREATION OF INTERNATIONALISATION SUPPORT CENTRES (month 2 month 6) To create internationalisation support centres in the three Partner countries (Italy, Serbia and Bosnia- Herzegovina) to act as operating interfaces and to share actions and services; To encourage the development of business relations and the establishment of an institutional network with the help of the Internationalisation Expert, a new actor in charge of accelerating the use of the Facility; To train professional Business Internationalisation Experts to act as interfaces for the Serbian/Bosnian/Italian businesses willing to enter trade relationships with Italy and the Balkan area.

Specific activities Training in Italy (Veneto Region) of 7 professionals: 2 for Veneto Region, 2 for Apulia Region, 2 for REZ and 1 for the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia; Internship period for the EACs in Italy with Capacity Building activities to transfer capacity building and good practices in the management of relations with European institutions and international funds investment and to share working methods; Creation of Internationalisation Support Centres; Conception of innovative projects, through capacity building activities, to support entrepreneurship and business internationalisation; Involving the territory through awareness-building initiatives targeted at local key players that are in a position to manage international relations.

WP3 - SWOT ANALYSIS & STATE OF THE ART (month 3 month 5) To provide the documentation that will serve as a base in the following steps of the Project. Collection, Analysis and Review of the information and data required to identify and focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the Serbian/Bosnian/Italian economic systems and their interconnections; To analyse the Italian, Serbian and Bosnian business systems together with their strengths and weaknesses; becoming aware of the strengths / weaknesses of internationalised and/or delcalised Bosnian, Serbian and Italian companies; To scout Serbian local companies showing an interest in the use of the Facility provided by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in starting co-operation activities.

WP4 - BUSINESS MEETINGS (month 7 month 12) To help interaction between the SMEs of the Veneto Region and EACs, by promoting meetings between Italian technology manufacturers and the SMEs of EACs (B2B); To promote partnership opportunities between the businesses of Veneto and Apulia and the EACs; To design a databank to put in contact SMEs of EACs and IARs for Business Matching; To improve and test the efficiency of the network created between the Support Centres.

Specific activities Organisation of Bilateral meetings between SMEs in the economic sectors where co-operation can have a high positive impact Exchange of technical and scientific knowledge between small and medium-sized enterprises of the Partners Establishment of a managed databank to network the SMEs of Veneto, Apulia, Serbia and Bosnia - Herzegovina to help Business Matching (continuosly updated); Technical Assistance to help and support the use of the financial Facility

WP5 DISSEMINATION (month 2 month 12) To organize the B2B and stimulate the cross-borders Partnership based on SPECIFIC, CONCRETE input of the SMEs of the concerned Countries; To disseminate in Italy and Serbia detailed information on the credit facilities granted by the Italian Government; To promote an efficient communication strategy to inform local entrepreneurs about the potential Italian suppliers of know-how, machinery and equipment, also relying on the network of local Chambers of Commerce and business associations;

Specific activities At least 3 seminars (Veneto, Apulia and Bosnia) and 1 possibile seminar in Serbia. In addition to Project Partners, these seminars will be attended by SMEs executives, Government representatives, bank managers, etc; Participation in at least 2 trade exhibitions (plus 1 possible trade exhibition in Serbia) to illustrate and promote the facility offered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as widely as possible and to inform entrepreneurs about the Business to Business events; Creation of site links; Publication of a practical document including the names of the companies interested in starting new economic relations. The most dynamic local SMEs selected to establish bilateral co-operation relations will also be highlighted; Project Folder;
