SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS This is Sunday School style! Miss Courtney gave the Homily and set up craft tables on both sides of the Altar rail for all the kids! Miss Courtney quipped, "With Fathers Mark and Stephen away this weekend you are getting chopped liver so the least I can do is give you chocolate! And she did, the happy Homily was about Jesus and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Fr. Stephen goes to Choir Camp! Last week Fr. Stephen was the Assistant Chaplain at the Massachusetts Boy Choir Course (MBCC), the longest running RSCM (Royal School of Church Music) Course, and only course for just boy choristers, in North America. Here is a link to a video of the choir singing a hymn with a descant written by some of the boy choristers at the course on the Facebook page of the course. https://www.facebook.com/mbccboston/videos/1886250651435055/ These photos are from Groton School where the MBCC spent its week learning music and having great fun. The chapel at Groton is a beautiful Gothic revival building with a stunning Skinner organ. This was Fr. Stephen's 15th year at the course and his first as Assistant Chaplain. Next summer, he will be returning and would be excited to bring boy choristers from St. John's! There is also a girls' course each summer (which is going on this week) at St.
