1.0. Job Summary Responsible for the administration of programs and services at Kids Kampus. Assures that a comprehensive approach, effective curriculum and positive teaching techniques are utilized to meet the individual needs of each child and family allowing them to reach their highest potential. Seeks to develop new services for children meeting the needs on an individual as well as community basis. Assures compliance with applicable State Department of Public Welfare, Paths to QUALITY, Department of Education, Office of Head Start Performance Standards, and Indiana Rules for Licensing Child Care Centers codes and regulations. Oversees the development and implementation of corporate-wide privacy principles, policies and practices. Responsible for coordinating all Kampus activities with privacy implications, as well as monitoring all of the Kampus s services and systems to assure meaningful privacy practices. Advocates and protects child, family and client privacy by serving as a key privacy advisor for them. 2.0. Essential Job Duties 2.1. Oversees curriculums for the daily program of developmental experiences and enrichment for enrolled children. 2.2. Manages staff, assuring their effective selection, training and development. Assures that staff are utilized in an appropriate manner, motivated to do their jobs, and regular evaluations are completed. 2.3. Promotes positive working relationships with referral sources, e.g. physicians, HCCSC, First Steps, and businesses. 2.4. Assures parent-teacher conferences are held as needed. 2.5. Assures integration and inclusion of children as needed. 2.6 Assures a teacher resource center is maintained for periodicals, magazines, and books available and adequate for training. 1

Must be able to physically lift and assist children. 2.8 Acts as Privacy Officer per HIPAA regulations. 2.9 Coordinates corporate privacy activities, which include overseeing the establishment, implementation and adherence to corporate policies on client privacy, confidentiality and Use and Disclosure of Protected Health Information. 2.10 Reviews new or revised government healthcare laws and regulations pertaining to client privacy to determine if new policies or modifications of current policies are needed. 2.11 Conducts privacy risk assessments and internal privacy audits. 2.12 Manages client privacy-disputes and requests for changes to their medical record. 2.13 Oversees the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness. 2.14 Works closely with Health Information Management, Information Technology and Marketing departments. 2.15 Ensures that record custodians correctly protect and archive client information. 2.16 Ensures that the organization s privacy protections keep pace with technological advances. 2.17 Participates in outside healthcare organizations for keeping updated on privacy developments and best practices for client privacy. 2.18 Reports to the organization s executive officers on emerging legislation/regulations and how the company is currently dealing with privacy issues. 2.19. Develops new services for Kids Kampus to assure that current needs are met for children individually as a community to assure financial stability. 2
2.20 Prepare monthly reports for the Early Head Start Policy Council and Pathfinder Services Board of Directors. 2.21 Monitor the safety and cleanliness of the Kampus. 2.22 Implement strategies to recruit and maintain enrollment. 3.0. Initiates, develops and maintains positive and open relationships with personnel of Kids Kampus delivering services to children in Huntington and surrounding areas. 6.2. Participates in staff development, inservice training and staff meetings as required. 6.3. Is familiar with current trends in early childhood education. 6.4. Assures that programs are of high quality and achieving results. 6.5. Meets all aspects of the Employee Handbook and Policy Manual. 6.6. Performs other duties as required. 7.0. Relationships 4
7.1. The Administrator reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Development. 7.2. Works closely with all staff that have a vested interest in the programming of children. 8.0. Qualifications (The following statements represent the minimum experience and/or training standards which will be used to screen applicants, provided that equivalent substitutions will be permitted in case of deficiencies in either experience or education.) 8.1. Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and/or Special Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. 8.2. Preferably has at least three years successful experience in working with children and administration. 8.3. Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and supervise others.
