SCIP (Statewide Communications Interoperability Plan) Over-Arching plan for Interoperability in the Commonwealth Written in 2007 329-pages long Available on Mass.gov Contract Firm wrote the SCIP with input from stakeholders across the Commonwealth

NECP (National Emergency Communications Plan) Released in Summer 2008 (after SCIP s were written) Identifies National priorities (meaning federal, regional, state, county, and local) SCIP must align with NECP Funding & TA looks to be more focused towards the NECP moving forward. We may begin to see more targeted funding for interoperability, rather than the broader funding we ve seen in the past
