Caring Cupboard Needs: canned fruit, applesauce, peanut butter, canned French green beans, Ramen Noodles, kidney beans, tuna, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, bathroom tissue, canned meats, canned tomatoes, canned pasta, canned spinach, canned lima beans. Drop-off hours are Mondays: 9-11 a.m. and 2-6 p.m., Wednesdays: 9 a.m. - noon and 5:30-7 p.m., Fridays: 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Brethren Disaster Relief Auction is on September 27 & 28. Donations of baked goods, meals, children s toys, good sellable items and garden produce are needed. Volunteers are needed to set up and clean up. The weekly Weight Loss Challenge (Biggest Loser) begins on Wednesday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gathering Place and goes for 11 weeks. The cost is $30. 3000 Miles for Peace Program that began last spring ends today. This was a program in memory of Paul Ziegler. Fourteen persons from our church participated in this program by walking, running, biking, kayaking, etc. for peace totaling over 1000 miles.
