A Lifestyle Experience for the Auburn University Student We would like to invite you to be a part of Auburn University Campus Recreation s first ever Get Rec d lifestyle experience as part of our 2014 Welcome Week activities. This oneday event is scheduled for August 19, from 5-8 p.m. Get Rec d will feature both national and local companies showcasing their brands in face-to-face engagement, prize drawings, giveaways, and interactive competitions for Auburn University students. This packet provides details of the event and its potential impact on your target market. The deadline to apply for the event is August 1, 2014 and space is limited. Preference is given to vendors with completed applications who offer a unique and engaging experience for Auburn students. Types of activities desired include fitness/lifestyle contests, product sampling, competitions, health and beauty demos, nutrition and wellness information, outdoor adventure experiences, etc. The event will take place in and around the Recreation and Wellness Center which opened in August of 2013. We hope that you will partner with us in debuting this brand new, stateof-the-art, 240,000-sq. ft. facility to Auburn students, faculty and staff. Send the completed application to Leanne Greene at the address provided, no later than Friday, August 1, 2014. STAND OUT! Bring your space to life with an exciting, interactive attraction. Make your space stand out from the others and provide a unique experience that will encourage students, faculty and staff to explore your brand. SELECTION CRITERIA Make sure your application is complete, as space is limited. Preference will be given to early applicants, with completed applications who offer a unique experience for Auburn students. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS Use of the name Get Rec d on any signage, t-shirts, printed materials, etc., will not be allowed without written permission from Auburn University Campus Recreation. be allowed to conduct on-site sales. The food-sampling area will be located on our multi-activity court with attendees able to freely move between the court and one of the most popular areas of our facility the 200,000-gallon leisure/activity pool. Food vendors must be willing to provide a minimum of 1000 (2-oz. minimum) tastings for attendees over a three-hour period. Food vendors are not required to provide a meal, but must provide enough samples to last for the duration of the event. MERCHANDISE/GIFT CARD DONATIONS Name and website link featured on the Get Rec d website sweepstakes page and inclusion in social media. Drawings will be held throughout the event and winners will be randomly chosen from registered attendees. Winner will be notified via email and announced via social media. Closest to the Pin Contest in our PGA Golf Simulator presented by informal recreation. 3. Group Fitness Format Demonstrations presented by the Campus Recreation group fitness team. 4. War Eagle Warrior Challenge fitness competition presented by the Campus Recreation fitness team. 5. Knockout presented by intramural sports. 6. Sports Club table decorating contest presented by club sports. 7. Sleeping Bag Stuffing Contest presented by Auburn Outdoors. 8. Quick-fire Fitness Challenge presented by the personal training team. 9. Distance Cycling Challenge presented by the group fitness/auburn Outdoors team. 10. Chopped Challenge present by Campus Recreation nutrition team.
ONLINE SWEEPSTAKES An online sweepstakes will be held prior to the Get Rec d event to promote and build event awareness. The sweepstakes is open to Auburn University students only. Students may enter to win a variety of donated prizes provided by various local/national partners. Description/Eligibility: No purchase necessary. This sweepstakes is open to Auburn University students only. Contest participants MUST be 19 years or older on the date of entry to qualify. This sweepstakes begins on 08/01/2014 and ends on 08/19/2014. How to Enter: Any student that completes all information on the Official Online Entry Form between the dates of 8/1/2014 and 08/18/2014 will be entered for multiple chances to win. The number of drawings depends on sponsor participation. Limit of one (1) entry form per person. Multiple entries will result in disqualification from the Get Rec d Sweepstakes for all prizes. Drawing: A random drawing will be held to determine the winners. Limit one prize/prize package per person. Winners will be notified by email and must pick up prizes in person at the Recreation and Wellness Center administrative desk. Odds of Winning: Each entrant s odds of winning are dependent on the number of contestants that complete the official entry form.
