NEW POSITION Dr. Jackie Smith Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs NEW FACULTY ORIENTATION Dr. Joe Delap, Provost and VP for Academic Affairs welcomes new faculty to New Faculty Orientation. The orientation was held in Waters Hall August 18 th. OVERTIME APPROVAL Hourly Paid Employees and Supervisors: Remember to obtain approval from your supervisor PRIOR to working overtime (more than 40 hours in a workweek Sunday through Saturday). Supervisors have the authority to rearrange employees schedules during the week to avoid extra overtime expenses for the department. This option should be exercised by the supervisor if at all possible. Supervisor should not approve staff membesr to work overtime without it being deemed as extenuating. The Overtime Approval Form may be found on the HR forms page.
MEMBER ONLINE SERVICES Please utilize the Member Online Services tool through the Retirement Systems of Alabama website. Go to www.rsa-al.gov and click on MOS Login in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will be able to access all of your personal account information concerning Retirement, PEEHIP, and RSA1. There is also a Retirement Benefits Calculator feature. RETIREMENT ADVISING AVAILABLE Control Your Money Game - Mid-career Seminars (registration required) Half-day seminars for TRS members who have between 1 and 19 years of service. Retirement Preparation Seminars (registration required) Full-day seminars for TRS members who are within 5 years of retirement eligibility. Individual Counseling Appointments 20-minute appointments for TRS members who are within 3 years of retirement eligibility. All appointments are outside the Montgomery area. Visit Retirement for the seminar schedule or contact the Athens State Office of Human Resources. FLU SHOTS AND WELLNESS SCREENINGS Flu Shots and Wellness Screenings for 2017-2018 will be Tuesday, October 24th Student Center Ballroom *Appointment information has been emailed to employees. *Logan Robinson will be there to assist members with health questionnaires and wellness coaching activities. ATHENS CITY SCHOOLS College students can make $12 an hour tutoring ACS students. Athens City Schools is seeking college students who want to serve as paid tutors and role models for AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students in the intermediate, middle, and high schools. Deepest sympathy is extended to Trish DiLullo in the death of her father-in-law, Richard Dick DiLullo, who passed away September 22, 2017.
