Purpose: The purpose of Chamber Academy is to provide an environment for learning by presenting relevant business seminars, lectures, and courses. All course work is a pathway to learning and earning a continuing education certificate from Del Mar College. The 2015-16 course series includes: Tech Tuesdays (3 rd Tuesdays at the Chamber) Lunch & Learns (1 st Tuesdays at the Chamber) Business Breakfast (Last Wednesdays at various locations) Simply Social Media Classes (3 rd Thursdays at the Chamber) Self-Development (Professional Development) Training (Last Mondays quarterly at the Chamber) Hospitality Training (Certification Classes Available Upon Request) Pick Your Pathway Choose and complete any combination of the courses listed above and receive points. Receive 12 or more points and earn a certificate of completion from the Chamber Academy and Del Mar College. Pricing Each course is $10 for members. Tech Tuesdays are free of charge. Credit Continuing Education Programs offer training, skills and knowledge building courses to fit your time schedule and budget right here in Rockport and Fulton. The course work is designed to help you operate your business or organization a cut above the rest.

Rockport-Fulton Hospitality Training A Customer Service Training Program The Tourism Development Council of the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce invites you and/or your employees to be a part of the Texas Friendly Hospitality Program. It is a program of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Texas A&M University s Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences. Course level instruction includes: six hospitality habits necessary for quality customer service: 1) make a good first impression, 2) know your job, 3) know your community, 4) communicate clearly, 5) handle problems effectively, and 6) make a good last impression. Other topics emphasized include business etiquette, phone courtesy, working with difficult people, handling complaints, cultural etiquette, and communication.
