ROTAX JET PROPULSION SERVICE TRAINING OVERVIEW Welcome to the Rotax Jet Propulsion Service Training Program. Whether you are an experienced Rotax Service Technician or brand new to the training program, please refer to the following table for a general explanation of our training program. TRAINING LEVEL Online Training JP 1 Rotax Jet Propulsion Training 1 HOW TO GET THERE Complete JP 1 online training prior to registering for hands-on training. View the videos and complete the corresponding exams on our elearning site (see page 3). Online training consists of twelve videos on the following topics: o Access D.I.S. for new engine registrations and warranty claim entry o Obtain, install and use B.U.D.S. o On-the-water towing procedure o Proper storage procedures o Setup and predelivery procedures o Change engine oil and filter o Remove, service, & reinstall the drive shaft o Remove / reinstall reverse gate, venturi & jet pump o Disassemble, repair and reassemble jet pump o Properly perform inspections to the jet pump o Access the drive shaft and supercharger o Service the supercharger TIME REQUIRED Approximately 1.5 hours Hands-On Training JP 2 Rotax Jet Propulsion Training 2 Complete JP 2 at the Sturtevant factory training center. Learn the latest service and maintenance procedures on the Rotax Jet Propulsion System. 2 day course in Sturtevant, WI (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days) Approximately 10% discussion and 90% hands-on practice Requires intermediate reading/comprehension and computer skills. Experience using and reading precision instruments and gauges is necessary. For success, the technician must have a comfort level using BRP service manuals. Complete future service updates as required to stay up to date on the latest service techniques. 2 days 2
REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND CLASS DATES Registration Instructions JP 1 Online Training BOSSWeb users: Log in to BOSSWeb and select the Training dropdown. Select Service Training Enrollment. Select elearning. DealerPort users: Log in to DealerPort and select the Training link. Scroll down the page and select Exam Site. Type in your name, date of birth, and select Authorized Dealer as the User Type. Enter your Rotax dealer number. (Please note the system will not recognize a Sea-Doo dealer number.) Important: Record this data for future use. Always enter your name, date of birth, and dealer code exactly the same each time you log in so the system will recognize you. After entering your information, you will arrive at the elearning main page. View the videos and complete the exams listed under the Rotax heading. Registration Instructions JP 2 Hands-On Training There are two methods to register for Jet Propulsion Training 2 (hands-on course): BOSSWeb users: Log in to BOSSWeb and select the Training dropdown. Select Service Training Enrollment. Select Hands-On Enrollment and follow the prompts. DealerPort users: Log in to DealerPort and select the Training link. Select the Enrollment link and follow the prompts. OR Complete a registration form (page 7) and fax to (262) 884-5501. Remember to complete all fields on the form, including dealer and student signature lines. We are unable to process incomplete applications. We must have a minimum of 3 students registered to hold a class. Confirmation letters will be mailed or emailed within 7 days of registration or after 3 students have registered. Cancelling or Rescheduling a Class Please cancel or reschedule at least thirteen (13) days before your scheduled class date to avoid being charged for the class. There are two methods to cancel your enrollment: Log in to BOSSWeb or DealerPort and proceed to the Enrollment page using the same steps listed above. Select the exact same class and class date you originally chose when registering for the class. The system will present you with an option to Delete your enrollment. Select the red D to cancel enrollment. If you would like to register for another class date, simply start at the Enrollment screen again and enroll for a new class date. OR Fax your cancellation or reschedule request on company letterhead to 262-884-5501. COURSE INFORMATION AND POLICIES Course Fees $240 non-refundable fee will be charged per person for classroom based courses. The fee will appear on your Parts & Accessories Account. All prices are subject to change without prior notice. Confirmation We must have a minimum of 3 students registered to hold a class. We recommend you do not make travel arrangements until you receive a class confirmation letter or email. BRP reserves the right to cancel any class. Policies All BRP US Inc. facilities are tobacco free. Smoking and tobacco chewing must be conducted off company property. Wear clothing and closed toe shoes appropriate for a service shop environment. Shorts are not permitted. Our training centers are located in corporate facilities. Out of respect, please refrain from wearing competitor's branded clothing. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Completion of all required tasks and full attendance is required to earn a certificate. Students are evaluated through hands-on projects and homework assignments. BRP reserves the right to dismiss a student for misconduct. This includes, but is not limited to, disruptive behavior or damaging equipment. Travel BRP is not responsible for students' cost of travel, lodging or meals while they are attending a training course. Students who travel by air usually rent a car. Public transportation is limited. When planning travel, see course descriptions for class start and end times.
