Currently, you may see 2 rows for Temp, 2 rows for BP, etc. THIS WILL NO LONGER OCCUR and will display correctly in one row. 2) When viewing Intake & Output from the Vitals tab, there are now additional calculated totals. 3) A new Order Sign-Off tab will be added to allow sign-off of multiple orders (up to 250) at once (instead of one at a time via the Action List tab). However, this new tab will not include action items generated from Physician Documentation or Medication Reconciliation, so you will have to check both tabs. CPOE 1) In the Order Queue, the Order Date/Time Stamp will be added, some columns were moved & removed, and you now have the ability to save the Group By Area setting as your default if desired. 2) The Reorder and Renew buttons should function properly now 3) Enhanced search capability to use the contains functionality. Ex: if you type iv morphine, all meds that contain both words will display. Page 1 of 6

PHYSICIAN DOCUMENTATION Template Additions or Revisions NOTE: If a Phys Doc template has been revised and it was one of your favorites, you will need to re-add it as a favorite. Also, the carry forward function would only work from that time forward. It will not bring in the previous day s data since the template was changed. THIS IS TRUE FOR ANY UPGRADE. 1) Trauma Progress Note The following additional fields were added to the bottom of the template: 2) Procedure Note Arterial Line & Procedure Note Central Line A Technique pop-up with additional fields were added to both of these templates: CPOE Order Set Additions or Revisions 1) Name change The CTA Chest with and/or without contrast PP order has been renamed to: CTA Chest WWO contrast Use for PE Protocol Page 3 of 6

2) Discharge - Stroke - The PT/OT Eval and Assessment Complete order now has a hard stop. You must select either Yes or No from the Prep: drop down: Click on drop down and select either Yes or No (patient at baseline) Then click Save Page 4 of 6

3) Discharge Order Sets The Discharge Dx Other order now requires the Prep: field be selected: 1) Click the drop down arrow for the Prep: field and select the only option listed 2) Free text the Discharge Dx in the Instructions: box and then click save 4) NEW order set: CONV LANTUS (INSULIN GLARGINE) Please use the new "CONV - LANTUS (INSULIN GLARGINE)" order set to order Lantus. CPOE Reminders from the Pharmacy Department 1) When ordering any Pain Medication remember to always use the CONV PAIN MANAGEMENT order set. If you haven t already done so, click the flag to add it to your favorites so you can easily access it there. If you need assistance in doing so, please call 22109. Using this order set for pain management ensures proper routing on the pharmacy side and full pain coverage for your patient. 2) For heparin IV infusion orders - when heparin IV infusion should be stopped temporarily for procedures, please do NOT use the "hold" function or Communication Miscellaneous nursing order to hold heparin infusion. Pharmacy does not get the resume orders and this results in a delay of therapy. To prevent this delay, please DISCONTINUE the heparin infusion order for procedures and ENTER NEW heparin order via CPOE if the patient is to continue after their procedure.
