04/10/16 Your Infopack Dear applicant, thank you very much for your interest in our EVS projects. Please read carefully all the information. If you want to apply, please note that there is an online application form : http://webquest.fr/?m=21508_application-form-evs-formulaire-d-inscription-sve with further information. Do not forget to send your CV via mail, as well. Please send the CV to: evs@gwennili.net and use the following subject : «EVS application», «name of the project». Deadline is the 14. November 2016.. Please note, that if you have been selected for an interview it will take place in- between the 22nd and the 24th November 2016 via skype. Coordination organisation : Association Gwennili (founded in 1998) Our name, «Gwennili», means «swallow» in the Breton language. You can find this familiar bird all over Brittany and Europe. Close to human beings, it is for us a symbol of exchange. Since 1998 we have organised international youth exchanges of different topics with different kinds of people (pupils, students, disadvantaged young people, young professionals, etc.). Furthermore, for more than fifteen years we have been dedicated to send French volunteers throughout Europe. This year we are going to do the coordination for five hosting organisations in France to allow five young persons to come to Brittany. For further information about the coordination organisation Gwennili, please visit our web- site : or Facebook- Page : «Gwennili, Rencontres et Échanges Interculturels» General information for all the EVS volunteers: The five hosting organisations and Gwennili the coordination organisation- agreed, that all the volunteers will start and end their EVS at the same time. Furthermore, there will be at least one person from Gwennili who will be the tutor for the five EVS volunteers. We hope to create a nice volunteer group, which will meet once a week at our association to exchange experience, work on common projects and discover the city Quimper. Besides the Erasmus+ online course, there will be a language class for everyone who likes to participate once a week. The three volunteers in Quimper will share a flat in Quimper and the two volunteers in Plonéour- Lanvern and Poullan- sur- mer will live in one flat in Plonéour- Lanvern, as well. Everyone will have their own sleeping room. Therefore, the volunteers have the opportunity to get to know each other very well and to live the intercultural experience at home. This will give more autonomy to the volunteers and help them to get to know other people more easily. Gwennili will help the volunteers to open a bank account on which we will transfer some pocket- money and some food money every month. Every hosting structure will offer a personal contact person for the EVS volunteer. Note that we are currently looking for 4 volunteers, since one volunteer has already been selected for Poullan- sur- Mer. Precise descriptions of the four EVS projects: 43 rue Aristide Briand. 29000 Quimper. Tél : 02.98.53.06.86. E-mail : contact@gwennili.net 1

1 st project: SUPPORT ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES IN BRIEC Hosting organisation : Les Genêts d'or social and medical-social sector Contact person : Béatrice LETARD, evs@gwennili.net Some words about the city : Briec and Quimper : The association «Les Génêts d'or» is based in Briec de l'odet (5600 inhabitants) in a semi- rural surrounding, 15 km from Quimper (the volunteer will take public transports from Quimper to Briec). Quimper is a commune and the capital of Finistère, a department of Brittany in northwestern France. The city has about 65 000 inhabitants and at least 5000 students. It is situated just 20 kilometers away from the sea side. Quimper is very well known for its historical town center and for its distinctive Breton character. The city has a great cultural life : museums, festivals, cinemas and pubs will make your stay very comfortable. Besides, Quimper has a good public transport network and a SNCF train station. The volunteer will live together with two other volunteers in a flat in Quimper, but work in Briec. Description of the project «Les Genêts d'or»: The association was founded by volunteers in 1963. L'ESAT (Etablissement et Services d'aide par le Travail) and the centre «Les Genêts d'or» welcome 126 adults (age 20 to 60 years old) with mental or physical disabilities. Some of them just come for the daytime, others are living in shared appartments or in their own appartments, which are looked after by the 65 staff members. The adults are working in professional workshops (like metalwork, floricultural work, paper work, gardening, woodwork etc.) or they are participating in other activities like artistic workshops, swimming, gardening, looking after the animals of the farm, cooking etc. The project and the proposed activities for the volunteer : The volunteer will help the staff to organise and to lead sport activities for the residents (walking, jogging, aquagym, pétanque ) and leisure time activities like cultural activities or excursions. Sometimes the volunteer will organise some evening or week- end events. He or she will work with small groups or a single person. It would be very nice if the volunteer could organise a project around an intercultural topic. Volunteer profiles : We are looking forward to a volunteer who is really interested to learn the French language and to get to know the French culture. Some notions of French are mandatory. It would be good if the volonteer has a driving licence, but it is not compulsory. EVS candidates who have not benefitted from any European mobility programme will be prioritised. Support The volunteer will have access to the public transport in Quimper and the interurbain transport from Quimper to Briec. The EVS volunteer will have the possibility to eat in the association. The city has about 65 000 inhabitants and at least 5000 students. It is situated just 20 kilometers away from the sea side. Quimper is very well known for its historical town center and for its distinctive Breton character. The city has a great cultural life: museums, festivals, movies and pubs will make your stay very comfortable. Besides, Quimper has a good public transport network and a SNCF train station. Description of the Secondary School: Le Likès is a comprehensive private school under contract with the French State operating on two sites in the city center of Quimper. It is divided in one school (children from 12 to 15 years old), one vocational school (pupils from 16 to 18 years old), one general and technical highschool (pupils from 16 to 18 years old) and higher education (people from 19 to 20 years old). Le Likès is hosting about 3000 students and 230 teachers. Our goal is to provide a wide range of training possibilities in a region that lies out of the national and European major routes, in order to ensure a good integration into higher studies and the labor market. Le Likès encourages international mobility and is looking for developing partnerships with companies and associations. The project and the proposed activities for the volunteer: The EVS volunteer will work on projects in favor of the pupils from the college, highschool or of the students. The tasks of the volunteer will depend as well on his/her possibilities. The school can offer the volunteer to participate in its language or cultural sector. The volunteer could organise a film- club or a language club. He/she could organise an event about Europe and let the pupils discover food specialities from the home country. There will be as well the possibility to accompany the teacher of the language class, to talk about his/her own language, culture and costumes. It is important to the Likès that its pupils will get to know the programme EVS and that they want to do an international experience, as well. Volunteer profiles: We are looking forward to a volunteer who has some competences either in the field sport, culture or animation. An EVS volunteer who is open- minded and who likes to interact with others. Someone who likes to discover other cultures and to share its own. The volunteer should be curious, have some dynamism and a cognitive capacity. The volunteer should be eager to improve the English, Spanish or German language competences of the pupils. We are looking forward to a volunteer who is really interested to learn the French language and to get 3

to know the French culture. EVS candidates who have not benefitted from any European mobility programme will be prioritised. Support The volunteer will have access to the public transport. Quimper is very well known for its historical town center and for its distinctive Breton character. The city has a great cultural life: museums, festivals, movies and pubs will make your stay very comfortable. Besides, Quimper has a good public transport network and a SNCF train station. Description of the MPT Penhars : The MPT Penhars was founded 1984 and it is an association which is dedicated to popular education (Socio- cultural and Citizens' education). The MPT is located in a neighborhood where many people have to challenge different conditions of fragility: social, economic and psychological. The aim is to promote the values of sharing, tolerance, solidarity and the principle of secularism and democracy. The 25 employees together with the help of many volunteers try to improve the living conditions of the local community. The project and the proposed activities for the volunteer: The principal project for the EVS volunteer will be to create a small garden with bio products (fruits and vegetables) for the local community. With the help of the garden we hope to inform our community about food in general, health and a balanced nutrition. With the vegetables from the garden the volunteer will organise culinary activities (for example to cook simple recipes from different regions and countries) together with participants from the local community. We are looking forward to a volunteer who has already got some social and cultural experience with a disadvantaged community. We search for a dynamic person who can listen and who is available. The volunteer should have a certain autonomy and he/she should help and encourage the other people from the community to realize their projects. Description of the Centre Communal d'actions Sociales: The social community center helps people in difficult and insecure social situations. First of all families, older persons, unemployed people and people with handicaps. The CCAS is fighting for inclusion and helps therefore with food support and accommodations. Especially for the children, we have a vast offer. We have nursery, childcare, after school day- care center and a leisure center. Volunteer profiles: We are looking forward to an EVS volunteer who likes to discover a new culture, to work in a team, who is dynamic, takes responsibility and shows initiative in proposing activities for the children and teenagers. Because of the tasks and the territory he/she has to have a driving licence and he/she has to feel comfortable to drive a car.
