He has studied under internationally renowned musicians - Roberto Cappello, Franco Rossi, Piernarciso Masi, Lovro Pogorelich, Malcolm Bilson and Bart van Oort. Amidei is a winner, as a soloist and pianist duo, of numerous prizes in national and international competitions. He currently teaches piano at the Petrarch Music Academy in Arezzo, in Tuscany, Italy.
