1 An institution's basketball camp may ONLY be conducted during the months of June, July and August, or any calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that includes days of those months. 2 During a two-year period before a recruited prospective student-athlete's anticipated enrollment and a two-year period after the recruited prospective student-athlete's actual enrollment, an institution shall not employ (or enter into a contract for future employment with) an individual associated with the recruited prospective student-athlete in any athletics department noncoaching staff position. 3 A basketball coach may NOT be employed, volunteer or guest lecture at a noninstitutional basketball camp and in which prospective student-athletes participate, even if the camp or clinic is operated in accordance with the restrictions applicable to institutional camps or clinics. 4 A recruiting service that provides only video of prospective student-athletes and does not provide information about or analysis of prospective student-athletes is a permissible recruiting service. 5 An institution may permit a prospective student-athlete in the sport of women's basketball to make an UNOFFCAL visit at any time, other than during a dead period or during the July evaluation periods if the prospective student-athlete has not committed to the institution per Bylaw 13.02.13.1. 6 An institution may conduct an on-campus evaluation with a prospective student-athlete who has graduated from high school and is enrolled in a preparatory school if: A) The evaluation takes place during an official or unofficial visit. B) The evaluation is conducted after the conclusion of the prospective student-athlete`s season. C) The prospective student-athlete has exhausted preparatory school eligibility in basketball. D) All of the above. 7 The institution would like to hire a local high school women's basketball coach to work its summer camp. The institution is not recruiting any prospective student-athlete from the local high school coach's basketball team and none of the local high school coach's former players participate in women's basketball for the institution. t is permissible for the institution to hire the local high school coach. 8 Evaluations at nonscholastic events during the academic year evaluation period shall not occur during any weekend that the following test is administered? 9 An institution's coach may be involved in nonscholastic based basketball (e.g., local club team) if the team includes the coach's child and the team participants are of the opposite gender than the team the staff member is associated with at the institution. 10 An institution may pay the air transportation for two parents (or legal guardians) to accompany a prospective student-athlete during an OFFCAL visit. 11 t is permissible for an institution to hire a high school women's basketball coach as a volunteer in a summer camp if the institution is recruiting one of the high school women's basketball prospective student-athletes. 12 During the month of May, it is permissible for an institution's basketball coach to lecture at a noninstitutional, privately owned basketball camp that is operated under restrictions applicable to institutional camps. 13 An institution's basketball camp or clinic may be conducted only during the months of or any calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) that includes days of those months.
