Application for Exchange Programme 2013-14 Spring Fall Application Deadline May 1 ~ 31, 2013 Application Procedure Please submit the following documents by the deadline. All documents must be in English or Korean. 1. Completed exchange student application form 2. Transcript in English 3. Certificate of Enrollment in English 4. Pick Up Service Is there a pick-up service upon arrival? (Yes Are there any required fees from exchange students?) Yes. One pick-up service (from Incheon Int l Airport to Sejong University) for free. If the flight information is not provided by the required date, students will be responsible for getting to Sejong University on their own. Also, weekend arrival services are not available. Accommodation Yes. International Student Dormitory is available. Fees (per person, utilities included) and Payment Are exchange students guaranteed accommodation for them? Sejong University will issue the Certificate of Admission, which is one of the required documents for visa application at the Korean Embassy or Consulate in your country. 2. Students will need to present a valid passport, evidence of financial support and any other documents required by the embassy or consulate. (Please check with the Korean Embassy or Consulate in Japan to determine what documents are required for D-2 visa application.) Are exchange students allowed to work? Yes. But Work Permission is required. Students are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week. Is a special visa required for work? No
Health Insurance Are exchange students required to purchase a compulsory health insurance plan? Yes. All exchange students are required to have an overseas health insurance plan which covers medical care and accidents during the stay in South Korea. The Health insurance plan should meet the required coverage level for your injury and disease. If you choose Korean National Health Insurance: -Monthly Fee: 41,200 KRW -Difference from Private Insurance Plan: (1)The purchasing fee will be applied retroactively for the days of your entire stay period in South Korea (2)Private insurance plan provides the compensation within the coverage amount except the deductible; however, if choose to purchase the National Health Insurance Plan, you need to pay the uninsured portion of your medical expenses - same as Koreans.
