Ryder Cup Background The Ryder Cup, with it s unique format offering competition between the finest golfers from Continental Europe against their counterparts from the The USA, is Company now widely recognised Name as one of the biggest sporting events in the world. This will be the second time that Scotland has hosted The Ryder Cup. It was first hosted at Muirfield in 1973. The growth and popularity of the Ryder Cup in recent years, which has coincided with the rapid development of the European Tour, has been nothing short of spectacular. As the prestige and popularity of the Ryder Cup has grown, so has the event attendance, media coverage and the global television audience.

What is Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) PCS is provided by the Scottish Procurement Directorate, it is the national public sector advertising portal for Scotland Launched in October 2008 Is a key part of the Scottish Government s Public Procurement Reform Programme Public Procurement Reform aims to drive up standards in the way public sector buys goods, services and works. PCS provides suppliers with access to opportunities posted to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) notices, lower value contracts commonly known as sub-threshold notices and opportunities to be invited to low value/risk contracts known as Quick Quotes and view contract award notices PCS is a free service for suppliers and provides an open and transparent resource which promotes a competitive market environment. For suppliers PCS provides a one-stop, single access point to public sector contract opportunities
