LASH COMPETITION HOW TO ENTER The Sunshine Pro Series Lash Competition is open to Lash Stylists/ Artists from all countries of the world. The competition comprises of two levels (Student & Expert) judged by Australian and International Lash Masters. Participants may register in one or several of the categories, which are classic, volume or fantasy (photography) Classic Lash and Volume Lash participants must qualify to compete in the Live Floor Competitions hosted at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday 30th July 2017. Note there is no Preliminary Qualification Round for the Post-in Fantasy Lash Art Photography Competition. IMPORTANT DATES PRELIMINARY QUALIFICATION FOR CLASSIC & VOLUME CATEGORIES: Online Registration Closing Date: Midnight (AEST) Friday Deadline for transmitting portfolios: Midnight (AEST) Friday Announcement / notification of the selected finalists: no later than 5pm (AEST) Friday 23rd June 2017 POST-IN SUBMISSION FOR FANTASY LASH ART PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION: THEME: JAPANESE ANIME Online Registration Closing Date: Midnight (AEST) Friday 14th July 2017 All entries must be submitted via post prior to the Expo, and must be received no later than Friday 14th July 2017. Judging: Sunday 30th July 2017 CLASSIC & VOLUME CATEGORIES FINAL ROUND: Live Floor Competitions / Judging: Sunday 30th July 2017 REGISTRATION FOR ALL CATEGORIES (Classic Lash, Volume Lash & Fantasy Lash Art Photography Competition) The participant must register online on the competition official website () before Midnight (AEST) Friday. Once payment is complete to finalise registration, the participant will be sent confirmation by e-mail. PRELIMINARY QUALIFICATION ROUND (for Classic Lash & Volume Lash Categories only) Participants are required to submit three (3) photos (mandatory) and social media profiles and/or website (optional) to lashcomp@brisbanelashes.com Participants must submit photos by email by category. For example, if participating in 3 categories, name the photo attachments by participant Surname and category name i.e. SurnameClassicLashes.jpg THREE (3) ORIGINAL UNEDITED COLOUR PHOTOGRAPHS, WHICH MUST RESPECT THE CRITERIA BELOW; Photo 1 Full Face Eyes open Photo 2 Single eye open, showing full brow Photo 3 Eyes Closed (taken from front or behind) Must be all unmodified digital photographs, saved in JPEG format, in high resolution (file size between 1 and 3 megabytes). All photos submitted must not have been submitted to other competitions previously. We reserve the right request the original image file for any winning image to verify the authenticity. PRELIMINARY QUALIFICATION ROUND - SELECTION PROCESS (for Classic Lash & Volume Lash Categories only) Judges will analyse photos and files submitted by participants and choose a total of up to 7 finalists per category. Only participants which will have been selected as finalists will be notified as such, no later than 5pm (AEST) Friday 23rd June 2017. No files or photos will be sent back to any participant.

LASH COMPETITION HOW TO ENTER CONT. FINAL ROUND THE LIVE FLOOR COMPETITION (for Classic Lash & Volume Lash Categories only) The 28* finalists of the Lash Volume and Classic categories will be invited to compete in the final live competition round at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday 30th July 2017. Judges of the competition will proceed to evaluate the finalists, during and after eyelash application on a model. POST-IN SUBMISSION - FANTASY LASH ART PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION Online Registration Closing Date: Midnight (AEST) Friday 14th July 2017 Participants are required to submit three (3) photos (mandatory). All entries must be submitted via post prior to the Expo, and must be received no later than Friday 14th July 2017. Entries must be posted to PO Box 559, Morningside QLD 4170. Entries received for the Lash Fantasy Photography Competition will also be judged on the day of competition and announced at our awards ceremony and social media. SPECIAL NOTE: Only organisers can make a decision about the category you will compete in. So please send your first single/classic eyelash or volume extensions qualification (certificate) along with your application to lashcomp@brisbanelashes.com RULES, CONDITIO AND TECHNICAL

CATEGORIES AND CRITERIA 1. Organisers will provide all competitors with a bed, chair, trolley, lamp, disposable paper bed roll, lashes and adhesive. Participants are to provide their own unbranded tools, pillow, and anything you require specifically i.e. magnifying glasses 2. All competition entries must be performed on site unless otherwise stated. All aspects of the work presented must be completed entirely by the registered competitor. 3. Competitors MUST bring their own model (18yrs and over). Organisers WILL NOT provide models. Competitors are responsible for their model s behaviour and compliance with the competition rules. 4. All competitors and models must arrive in time according to the schedule of the competition.there will be point penalties for those who run late to registration and to the competition floor. If so this needs to be added to the point system. Late arrivals will receive a minimum deduction of 10 points (up to 20 points if they are late for both registration and competition) and may face disqualification if they are deemed to arrive too late to be able to compete. 5. One electrical power point per participant (no double adaptors allowed). 6. Competitors and their models must register at the competition reception desk to get a participant s/model s badge. Once orientation and set up of the competitors space commences, models and competitors are not permitted to leave the competition area with our prior permission from floor judge/orientation host. 7. Competitor s allocated work area must be neatly set up in a sanitary fashion. All products that are to be used during competition are to be set out on the trolley provided. Competitors are not allowed to reach into their lash case without a floor Judge present once the competition has commenced. Competitors will be given 5 minutes prior the competition to prepare their working space. 8. During the competition, the competitors CANNOT: talk to their model for the duration of the competition, use mobile phones, talk to other contestants, leave the competition area without permission, or ask for assistance/advice from ANYONE that is not a floor judge. 9. Competitors are not allowed to start eyelash extension application before the official start announcement. If organisers notice that a participant starts applying eyelashes before the first call, they will be disqualified. 10. The right-hand side eye must be completed prior to arrival at registration. The models eye on the left-hand side must be completed during the competition and lashes must be symmetrical at competition finish time. If incorrect eye is extended prior to competition start time, contestant will receive point deduction. The contestant must also not apply any extensions to the right eye during the competition or they will receive a points deduction. 11. Before the competition starts, organisers/judges will check model s eyelashes for any damage, redness of the eyes. 12. Competitors must wear their hair tied back during the competition. Failure to do so will result in points deducted. 13. When time is called at the end of the competition, all competitors must stop working immediately, place their tools down and stand with their hands in the air and wait for further instructions. Competitors are prohibited to touch or talk to their models until all judging is complete. When directed, all contestants must leave the competition area immediately with all their belongings. Contestants MUST leave behind a pair of tweezers, eye pads on model and a mascara wand for Judges use on your model. Contestants cannot stay during the blind judging event. 14. Models must be ready for judging at the allocated time. 15. Models must remain lying down on the massage table with their eyes closed and with the under eye coverings still in place. Models cannot leave the competition until after all judging and photography is compete. Models must stay close to the competition area until advised otherwise. Models are not to speak to each other or to the judges unless being asked a question. Models must not disclose, in anyway, the identity of the competitor until after the judging is complete. 16. The judges will evaluate the final result. Copies of the score sheets will be published after the awards for competitors. Photos of contestants works might be used by the organisers in the future publications (press-releases and articles, social media posts). 17. Award ceremony will take place at Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo 18. All Information about the winners will be published on the website, in our Facebook group/page and other media sources. 19. Only organisers can make a decision about the category you will compete in. COMPETITION CATEGORIES FANTASY LASH ART PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION (THEME: JAPANESE ANIME) Post-in submission ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE: Friday 14th July 2017 Participants are required to submit three (3) photos (mandatory). All entries must be submitted via post prior to the Expo, and must be received no later than Friday 14th July 2017. Entries must be posted to PO Box 559, Morningside QLD 4170. THREE (3) ORIGINAL UNEDITED COLOUR PHOTOGRAPHS; Photo 1 Full Face Eyes open Photo 2 Single eye open, showing full brow Photo 3 Beauty Shot (taken down to shoulder or waist height) Entries will be on public display for the duration of the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo at the Photographic Display Area on the Expo Floor. The photograph must be an original photograph that has not been previously published or displayed in public. The photograph must be a hi-resolution 8 x 12 in size either portrait or Landscape is acceptable. The photograph MUST BE IN COLOUR only. The photograph must be presented mounted on a card and clearly labelled with the competitor s name on the reverse side. Entries must be collected in person from the competition coordinator at the competitor area at the conclusion of the awards ceremony at 4:00pm (AEST) on Monday 31st July. Any Photographs NOT collected at the conclusion of the competition will not be returned. JUDGING: Sunday 30th July 2017 NB: Can you see the lashes and design clearly? Many points are lost if the judges cannot see the lashes clearly. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY ENTRY Online Entry Registration (found at www.brisbanehairandbeautyexpo. com.au/lash-competition/) must be completed and received prior to the entry closing date at midnight (AEST) Friday. Competitors must pay the appropriate Entry Fee. All Entry Fees include free Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo access for one (1) competitor and one (1) model. 1. GENERAL 1.1 Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo Lash Competition will be hosted on Sunday 30th July 2017 at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. 1.2 Competitors must ensure that all relevant fields within the Online Entry Registration are completed, and must include all relevant payment details Online Entries can be made at www.brisbanehairandbeautyexpo. com/lash-competition/ 1.3 Online Entry Registrations that are incomplete or do not include relevant payment details may not be accepted. No refunds on Competition Fees are given, however Competition Entry Fees are transferable. 1.4 Any Online Entries received after the entry closing date midnight (AEST) Friday will not be accepted. 1.5 Competitors must identify which competency Division they will compete in within their chosen category. 1.6 Confirmation of entry to the Competition will be sent via email to each competitor upon receipt of payment. 1.7 The Competition organizers are not responsible for competitors not adhering to or understanding the Competition Rules and Regulations. 1.8 The Competition organizers are not responsible for verifying each competitor enters into the correct division. The Competition organizers will rectify where necessary, but cannot verify all. 1.9 Each competitor and model agrees to abide by the Competition rules and regulations at all times during the Competition. While on the Competition premises, each competitor and model will act in accordance with these rules and obey any reasonable and lawful direction of the Competition coordinator, or any employee, officer or agent of the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo. 1.10 All competitors must display strict hygiene standards in the application of Lash and product use or points will be deducted. 1.11 The Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo reserves the right to: a) Merge any categories/division if there are less than five competitors b) Withdraw any categories/divisions at any time prior to the Competition. 2. REGISTRATION AND ASSEMBLY (ON THE DAY) 2.1 All participants will need to register on Sunday 30th July 2017 at the Competition Registration/Assembly Area inside the Exhibition Hall between 9am 9:45am (AEST). Participants will be allocated 5 minutes to set up their workstation within the competition area prior to the start time of their competition. 2.2 A permission to photograph will be signed by both participant and model at Competition Registration/Assembly prior to competing. 2.3 Entrants must provide their own Model and equipment e.g. all products and any other necessary items required for their presentation. 3.JUDGING 3.1 Every effort is made to ensure that qualified judges are provided. Judges meet prior to the Competition so all are clear on what they are judging and their responsibilities. Judging sheets are made available to competitors after the awards ceremony and judges will make every effort to be available for any questions/critique afterwards, although this is not guaranteed. 3.2 Judges decisions are final. Score sheets will be available for all competitors and those not picked up on the day will not be sent by the Coordinator to the competitor after the event. 3.3 Judging will be at the completion of each category. 3.4 On completion of judging, all competitors will allow their models to be photographed by an official photographer; this may be used for future marketing or advertising purposes. 4.PHOTO SUBMISSIONS 4.1 Each competitor and model grants the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo and Coordinator a fee-free royalty fee, irrevocable, transferable right to use any photograph, material or other intellectual property submitted by the competitor or model. 4.2 Each competitor and model warrants and represents that they have the full right to submit any photograph, material or other intellectual property provided for the Competition and further that such photograph, material or other intellectual property does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party 5.GENERAL COMPETITION RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT 5.1 Participants must abide by the relevant Category Criteria (found online at /lash-competition/); disqualification may occur if the relevant Competition Criteria is not adhered to. 5.2 Competitors and models must be at least 18 years old. 5.3 Competitors must comply with all relevant occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 5.4 All submissions must be the entrants original concept and work. 5.5 Entrants must provide their own Model and equipment e.g. makeup, all products and any other necessary items required for their presentation. 5.6 Time limits must be followed and strictly adhered to. Please refer to individual category rules and regulations for more information. 6. THE COMPETITION FLOOR 6.1 No assistance can be given to an entrant during the period of competition for preparation of model. Competitors must apply all Lashes themselves entirely. Any participants receiving coaching during the competition will be asked to leave the floor. 6.2 Hair and styling should complement the overall look for your entry and is to be pre-done before the competition. Hair and styling does not exclusively need to be done by the Lash artist and can be done by another professional. Whilst competitors will be judged on Lash only and no judging will be done on styling and hair individually The over all look will be judged, taking into consideration design choices for the models look. 6.3 Competitors and models are NOT permitted to leave the competition area during the competition. Once the competition has started, participants must stay on the competition floor with their model at all times. 6.4 No mobile phones, ipods or MP3 players are to be on the competition floor. 6.5 Competitors must store all bags, personal belongings and other items that are not used during the competition. 6.6 Only competitors and their models may enter the Competition arena. Any other person entering the arena must obtain permission from the Competition Coordinator or floor judges. 6.7 Competitors will be allowed to set up their tools and products during the Competition Briefing. All kit boxes and bags (other than personal handbags that should be placed under the chairs. 6.8 Once the allotted time is up, competitors must immediately stop working (and stand with their model) 6.9 To assist fellow competitors, noise and conversation level is to be kept to a minimum during competition time. 6.10 Advertising and promotion of businesses, salons or products is not permitted during the competition. 6.11 No smoking, drinking or eating will be permitted in the competition or preparation area. 6.12 Each entrant is responsible for cleaning their working station afterwards and leaving the area how they found it. 6.13 Failure to follow competition rules and guidelines will result in disqualification. 7. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT & ELECTRICITY 7.1 Participants must have all their own equipment ready to begin at the allocated time (you will not be allowed to borrow from other competitors). 7.2 For safety reasons, double adaptors are not to be used in the Centre. Any person who suffers an electric shock from any piece of electrical equipment MUST report the incident IMMEDIATELY to the Centre s Security Department. 7.3 The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) Management reserves the right to request removal from the site of any electrical equipment it deems to be non-compliant or suspect and can call upon internal specialists to assist when necessary. 7.4 All portable electrical equipment, appliances and leads used on the BCEC site must be tested and tagged in accordance with Australian Standard 3760 and Workplace Health & Safety Legislation. Any electrical equipment found not tested must be done immediately or removed from the Centre. 7.5 Each participant will be provided with 1 (one) electrical power point ONLY for use on the competition floor. 8. LIABILITY 8.1 Each competitor and model assumes all risk for any liabilities,

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY expense, loses, damages and costs resulting directly or indirectly from their participation in the Competition and indemnifies the Competition coordinator, Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo any employee, officer or agent or Major League Corporate Marketing for any expense, loss, damage, liability or cost (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis and whether incurred by or awarded against a party) resulting directly or indirectly from the negligent or unlawful acts or omission of a competitors or models. 8.2 The Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo, its Organisers (Major League Marketing), employees, officers and agents, Competition Coordinator and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre shall not be held accountable or liable for any liabilities, expenses, losses, damages, harm, injury or costs incurred by a competitor or model resulting directly or indirectly from their participation in the Competition. more than 1 year of eyelash extension experience; or/and you are an eyelash extension trainer.* (*Experience calculated from your start date to the date of competition). For example, if your total eyelash extension experience is 8 years, but you were trained in volume application only one month ago, you will compete in the Student Volume Division. 13.3 If it s found a Competitor has registered in the wrong division, they will receive a 10-point deduction in their final score for each competition. If found that a competitor has been registered in the wrong division after the competition has been completed they will be disqualified. Please ensure you are in the correct division. 14.4 Competitors must enter the highest division they qualify for. 9. PRESENTATIONS (1 ST, 2 ND, 3 RD PLACE FOR EACH CATEGORY) 9.1 Award presentations will be made to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place getters in each category at approximately 3:15pm - 4:00pm (AEST) on Sunday 30th July on the Spotlight Stage (time is subject to slight change). 9.2 On completion of presentations, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters will allow their models to be photographed; this may be used for future marketing, social media or advertising purposes. 10. TRAVEL EXPENSES 10.1 All travel expenses incurred by finalists will not be assumed by the competition. 11. MEET YOUR LASH COMPETITION DIRECTOR JOY CROSSINGHAM Joy Crossingham, owner of Brisbane Lashes, Lash Dolls Boutique and LashJoy Supplies, is an internationally awarded Lash Stylist and Trainer with nearly a decade of experience. Regarded by many as a true pioneer of the Australian Eyelash Extension Industry, Joy has in the past two years alone facilitated more than 75 Eyelash Extension training workshops across Australia and Japan. Joy s passion for teaching others developed from the initial lack of comprehensive training that was available in Australia.
