By concluding the year with this feast we are proclaiming our faith that Jesus Christ is the one and only king over all seasons, all peoples, and all of creation. At the end of time as we know it, Christ s work of restoring all things to unity and harmony with their Creator God will be completed. This Sunday, when we claim Christ as both our Shepherd and our King, we recognize our own calling to participate in Christ s saving work by caring for those whom Jesus calls the least ones (Matthew 25:45). St. George Giving Tree Our Giving Tree program helps families in our community who have financial difficulties providing a Christmas gift for their children. There are tags with specific requests and a variety of gift card tags for those hard to buy for teenagers. We invite you to take a tag from the tree. Please return all gifts with tag attached NO LATER THAN Friday, December 15, 2017. Please do not wrap the gifts, we give the parents wrapping paper to do this. There will be a crib to put the gifts in. Gift cards should be either turned in to the office, given to a Sacristan, or dropped in the collection basket. Thank you for your continued support.
