Bible Mr. Robert Foster Focused Networking Avoid the afternoon rush and gather with industry and government peers for unstructured discussion and networking. Focused Networking is a pilot in response to requests from attendees for increased opportunities to engage both industry colleagues and government peers to discuss shared challenges and collaborative solutions in more depth. For this first iteration, we have chosen four key subject areas to align with topics of key interest to the Department of Defense: Enterprise Capabilities, Mobility, Network Modernization, and Cyber. Each room will focus on a different topic. 4/21/2016 4:15 PM 5:15 PM 152A, 152B, 154A, 154B Dr. Glen White Mr. Greg Matthias Ms. Kimberly M. Rice Ms. Lisa Belt We hope to attract experts from both industry and government for a productive exchange of innovative ideas. The sessions are designed to be interactive and conversational as possible. This is a PowerPoint free zone with only a podium, minimal seating and high boy tables to facilitate networking flow. We ve asked our subject matter experts to assist in getting things started by introducing the discussion topics with a few framing remarks, but to limit their remarks to 5-7 minutes to allow the balance of the time for discussion. Members of the DISA's recently formed Corporate Connections team will also be present to engage with industry. While 400 or so cleared contractors have been operating under comparable requirements, this new rule expands the universe to more than 10 thousand DoD contractors to align their systems to the NIST 800-171 set of controls. The two questions we will attempt to answer is: what is "covered defense information" in this context and what is a contractor's responsibility for that information up and down the supply chain? This session will address DISA's Mission Partner Engagement Office (MPEO) mission, structure, and interface with Mission Partners/Customers. The Department of Defense Cyber Defender is challenged with the ever increasing volume, velocity, and variety of sensor data. Hear how DISA has incorporated big data into cyber situational awareness solutions for enhanced analysis, information sharing, and workflow processing for improved cyber security of the DoD Information Network. This panel will explore the near-term and future direction for cyber defensive operations for the warfighter. What are the warfighters' cyber defensive operational needs from the commands' perspective?
