At present the School offers the following programmes: UNDER-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES INTAKE Bachelor's Degree Course in Architecture 75 Bachelor's Degree Course in Planning 30 POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMMES Master of Urban Design 20 Master in Architecture (Conservation) 20 Master of Landscape Architecture 20 Master in Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) 20 Master in Planning (Environmental Planning) 20 Doctoral Programme in Architecture and Planning 10 Per Year School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal, awards scholarships for Under graduate and Post graduate students in Architecture and Planning under following categories: a) GATE/NET Scholarship based on valid GATE/NET score card as per MHRD, GoI norms to the students of PG & Doctoral programme. b) Merit Scholarship Scheme based on performance only. c) Merit Cum Means Scholarship scheme based on performance and gross annual family income from all sources. d) Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) students of Under Graduate programmes same for minorities, differently abled. e) Post Metric scholarship of different states.
Guidelines for award of scholarships GATE/NET Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to the students of post graduateprogrammes on the basis of valid GATE/NET score secured by them as per Government of India norms. Under these scholarships scheme, eligible GATE/NET qualified candidates will get scholarship as per order No. 17-2/2014-TS.I dated 18 th Feb 2015 of MHRD, Govt. of India. Only those students are eligible for this scholarship that is otherwise not getting any scholarship from any other source. Eligibility Criteria for scholarship other than GATE/NET for PG students: a) Merit Scheme: i. The scholarship for the first year will be awarded on the basis of performance in the first semester examination. This would be applicable for whole of first year and the amount of scholarship would be payable from the date of admission in the programme. For the second year, selection of candidates for scholarship would be done on the basis of the result of the first year i.e. cumulative performance of first and second semesters. The candidates as per list of merit will be eligible to apply under this scheme. b) Merit Cum Means Scheme: i. Students with their Gross Annual family income from all sources ` 4,50,000 and below be eligible for applying for scholarship under this scheme. i Iv. iv. The candidates as per merit list and as per the income criteria laid down by SPA, Bhopal, will be eligible to apply under this scheme. Students applying under this scheme would be required to substantiate their family income with relevant documents declaring their family income proof. The scholarship for the first year will be awarded on the basis of performance in the first semester examination. This would be applicable for whole of first year and the amount of scholarship would be payable from the date of admission in the programme. For the second year, selection of candidates for scholarship would be done on the basis of the result of the first year i.e. cumulative performance of first and second semesters. Student should not be a recipient of any other scholarship or stipend from any other sources.
Scholarship Scheme particulars for PG students : a) Scholarships would be provided on annual basis. b) Award of scholarship in subsequent academic year i.e. 2 nd year would be based on performance in the preceding academic year i.e. 1 st year performance as per order of merit. c) Unsatisfactory progress/misconduct/unauthorized absence from the college during the course may result in discontinuation of scholarship/fellowship. d) Selected candidates for award of merit and merit cum means scholarship would receive a monthly stipend of ` 5500 per month subject to availability of funds and on fulfillment of conditions for such award. e) In order to be eligible to receive the scholarship, the student is required to submit an undertaking on a non-judicial stamp paper that in case he/she does not fulfill the conditions / criteria mentioned by the Government of India for GATE/NET scholarships and Institutes own Scholarship schemes, he/she will refund the entire amount of scholarship without any protest. f) The above scholarship schemes are subject of change from time to time as per SPA, Bhopal, rules and regulations. Eligibility Criteria for scholarship for UG students: a) Merit Scheme: The Top scorer in B. Planning and 2 top scorers in B. Architecture would be awarded scholarships, provided the students do not have any backlogs or carry over supplementary papers of previous semesters during the semester in consideration. b) Merit cum Means Scheme: i. Students with annual gross family income ` 2,50,000/- and below would be eligible for applying for scholarships under this scheme. i iv. The top 3 scorers in B. Planning and top 7 scorers in B. Architecture of each batch of that session, in the current semester, fulfilling the family income requirement, would be considered for award of scholarship. Eligibility criteria mentioned in a) above would also apply. Students applying under this scheme would be required to substantiate their family income with relevant documents declaring their family income (IT return document)
v. The student should not be a recipient of any other scholarship or stipend. Scholarship Scheme particulars for UG students : a) The scholarship would be given for the academic year succeeding the academic year whose performance is under consideration. b) Scholarships would be provided on annual basis. c) No scholarship is available for First Year students of B.Arch. or B. Planning. The scholarship scheme would be available from Second year based on cumulative performance of two semesters in first year. d) Award of scholarships in subsequent academic years (3 rd and 4 th year in B. Planning and 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th year in B. Architecture) would be based on performance in the preceding academic year. e) The scholarship would provide 100% tuition fee waiver. f) An additional amount of ` 1500 would be paid per student per month as stipend. The amount may be increased or decreased by the sanctioning authority depending on various schemes/directives of Government of India. Components of Central Sector Scholarship Scheme :- Reimbursement/waiver off full tuition fee, living expenses, books & stationery and a latest computer with full accessories per student one time as per the norms of Central Sector Scholarship scheme will be provided.
