Environments for Urgent Care ARCHITECTURE ENGINEERING INTERIORS PLANNING

Urgent Care is Wellness Care Urgent Care Centers are providing an important solution for meeting the needs of today s patients by providing unscheduled primary care needs. Although these facilities are not full service emergency departments, an Urgent Care Center is equipped to alleviate many of the demands on a typical hospital-based emergency department. Therefore, when care cannot be delayed for a regular visit to the patient s primary care physician, an Urgent Care Center is a excellent alternative. For health care providers, urgent care and ambulatory clinics are often the easiest way to expand the reach of a market while introducing patients to more complete healthcare through the hospital s physician practices with proper follow up and wellness visits.

We wanted the patient experience and how they interacted with the building, and how they felt in the building to be one of the most important features of the building.... CDH really listened and were able to incorporate a lot for the patient experience. Meet Our Professionals ARCHITECTURE Each project represents an opportunity to explore a multitude of exciting possibilities. Our goal then becomes to design and to build a facility that satisfies your vision, reflects your values, and empowers your mission. ENGINEERING Our open lines of communication offer greater coordination of the initial design, drawings, and the specifications. Each project is reviewed by the entire CDH team to coordinate all levels of systems and finishes. INTERIORS Our design approach to interior spaces is holistic and pushes beyond aesthetics to create comfortable, healthy environments. We are intentional in using sustainable design philosophies. When it is sensible we use recycled, reclaimed materials, or materials derived from resources that are rapidly renewable. PLANNING We help our clients evaluate the current use of their site and space. Our professionals conduct thorough interviews with your key leaders and stakeholders. Their opinions bring insight to the design process. We also consider the demographics, site related information, future programming needs and other issues, before making our recommendations on how to optimize the use of available land or buildings. We are leaders in: The American Institute of Architects The American College of Healthcare Architects The American College of Healthcare Executives The American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers Lean Design Six Sigma Black Belt A Registered Interior Designer who is a Registered Nurse LEED Accredited Professionals EDAC Certified Professionals

WE MAINTAIN A 90% + RATE OF CLIENT RETENTION SERVING MULTIPLE HEALTHCARE CLIENTS FOR 37 YEARS

Community-based Care 18% of new urgent care facilities will be neighborhood based HEALTH FACILITIES / ACHE 2014 CONSTRUCTION SURVEY As a means to expand a health system beyond acute care and in response to healthcare reform legislation, 18 percent of future facility development and future construction is planned for urgent care clinics in neighborhoods. We involve the community as stakeholders in the planning so their needs are met in amazing ways. These environments are efficient, state-of-the-art, safe, inviting, and convenient. They incorporate the use of natural light, solid surfaces that are easy to maintain, and durable furniture. Parking, building access, and wayfinding are easy. Many times they are located in a medical park setting where patients who come for emergencies can also follow up days later with a physician or a specialist.
