Page 16 Dear Fellow Lions, Lioness, and Leos, TOGETHER WE WILL SUCCEED The District 24-A Fall Conference will be held on November 20-22, 2015 at the Sheraton Tysons, 8661 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182. District Governor Karen Udell Parker along with the Dale City and Lake Ridge Lions will be your hosts. DG Karen s theme and belief is, if we all work together we can succeed. Let s come together in November to show we can make it happen. On Friday, we have a great event line up. We will have a social hour and informal dinner where you will be able to get up to look at your favorite pieces of art or silent auction items in preparation for the art auction after dinner. Our Youth Camp is the feature for the evening and all proceeds will go to the Camp from the donations made from the Silent auction items and the Art Auction. The Friday event will be chaired by our very own Lion Phil Schrack. The art is from the Marlin Art Gallery in New York. The prices will vary and they have pieces for everyone s pocketbook. For your convenience all purchases may be paid for by cash, check or major charge card. We plan to have our Leos assist during the art auction. We want this conference to be about fun. On Saturday, after we have a few morning meetings and a few surprises, we will hear from our International Guest. We are so pleased that our luncheon speaker on Saturday will be International Director Bob Libin from New York. He will share his vision for Lionism. PCC Bill Bartlett will conduct a basic genealogy session in the afternoon. For the first time, we will have a wine tasting in the afternoon. You will be able to learn about four different types of wine. We hope many of you will try this tasting. It should be fun just like being on a cruise. We will have a nice break to visit our many exhibits and vendors. We will follow up with a dinner Saturday evening and have entertainment afterward. All raffles and auction winners will be announced at the dinner, Saturday evening. On Sunday morning, we will have our final event, our Guiding Lion class. Many of you need to be recertified as Guiding Lions, so we hope you stay over Saturday evening to have some fun and fellowship. This class is open to ALL Lions wishing to become a Certified Guiding Lion. Our Hospitality Suite will be hosted by our 1 st and 2 nd Vice District Governors, Jay Moughon and Sally Kenavan. Page 21 2015 FALL CONFERENCE EXHIBIT SPACE NOVEMBER 20-22, 2015 ALL LIONS CLUBS, EXHIBITORS, AND PIN TRADERS The 2015 District 24-A Fall Conference will be held at the Sheraton Tysons Hotel at Vienna, Virginia. The Dale City Lion s Club is hosting the convention with assistance from the Lake Ridge Lions Club. Lions Clubs, Exhibitors, and Pin Traders may obtain exhibit space in the Madison Room, Lower/Conference Level. Spaces will be available on Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rental of a 3' x 6' skirted table and space will be $20.00 for Lions Clubs, Lioness, Leos and Pin Traders. Commercial space rental for two days will be $40.00. Money for the space must accompany your reservation. All tables and exhibit space must be arranged through the 2015 District 24A Fall Conference. In order that we may properly meet your needs, you must advise us in writing before October 30, 2015, if exhibit space is desired.
