Frenchlanguage Healthcare Studies An asset for the future These students are registered in French-language healthcare postsecondary programs sponsored by the CNFS like thousands others. Studying in French helps me hold on to my Francophone culture and to expand my opportunities for the future. As a Francophone, studying in French in New Brunswick is an advantage and a source of pride. For me, studying in French is an openness to the world and to being able to offer French-language health services to Francophones. Eric Friesen, Judith Desjardins, student, Bachelor of Nursing Sciences at de Saint-Boniface A change that I would love to see in French-language health services is for employees to have more opportunities to learn in French so that they are able to offer service in both official languages. Offering French-language health services lets me provide excellent care in French because I can understand my patients better. It s important for me to satisfy my patients by putting their needs first. Rebecca McNeil, Véronique Bernier, student, Bachelor of Social Work at de Moncton Offering French-language health services is important because it makes my patients feel safe and confident, which is essential to my practice. Philippe Pépin, student, Bachelor of Nursing Sciences at Campus Saint-Jean student, Radiology Technology at Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick student, Practical Nursing at Collège de l Île www.cnfs.net
www.cnfs.net The CNFS brings together colleges, universities and regional partners.
