Maastricht Conclave 2017 The Maastricht Conclave 2017 will discuss and develop new opportunities, which are related to the 100 million European investments in running pilot manufacturing activities. Five complementary actions 1. European project meeting 4. Government meeting This is a closed session for project leaders and representatives of the European NMBP program. The meeting will share their findings and select ideas for commercialization. The conclusions will be presented at the Business conference. 2. Business conference European, national and regional governments discuss the opportunities for developing a joined framework. The ambition is to establish a government framework across regional, national and European governments which enables the development of regionals hubs. 5. Dissemination sessions In this session the European Pilot Project leaders will present selected results to 200 representatives of companies. The intense discussion should result in 5 new business cases. 3. Key-note lectures Top speakers will share their latest ideas about technologies and market trends related to sustainable economy. During this conference several parallel sessions will be organized in which experts present their findings to a broader audience. Addressed are scientists, researchers, business people, governmental people, investors who are interested in enabling knowledge sharing and idea generation. 3

Maastricht Maastricht 25th anniversary Treaty Maastricht Maastricht embraces Europe. In 1992 12 European countries signed the Treaty of Maastricht leading to the introduction of the Euro. Maastricht is the oldest labour-and industrial town of the Netherlands. Industrialization is started in when Petrus Regout, a glass and pottery manufacturer in Maastricht, purchased the first steam engine. Maastricht has since that time been focusing on innovation. European Conclave Tour The Maastricht Conclave will be repeated in other European regions: a European Conclave Tour. The European Conclave Tour aims at developing a leading position in solving societal challenges by establishing coordinated partnerships at a regional, national and a European level. The European Commission is aiming at bridging the Valley of Death and accelerating the growth of a new high tech industry. The commission has invested > 100 million in pilot manufacturing activities in the past 2 years. To maximize the impact of these investments, regions could accelerate the growth of their pilot manufacturing projects and establish business hubs. Based on the > 100 million European Horizon2020 investments in running pilot manufacturing projects the ambition of the European Conclave Tour is to enable: 50 business cases 10 capital agreements between regional, national and European governments New ideas and project funding for Triple Helix organizations 7
