But we didn t want to run an online course where students were only sitting in isolation in front of a computer; we wanted them to be part of an online class interacting with tutors and other students. So now we run two of these interactive online tutorials a week. 24 See pages 5 and 10 for more information on fees, charges, delivery modes and other options. I had always thought I would go all the way to year 12 then on to university. But, I never actually finished school. The foundation I needed to go to university was never achieved. In 2012 I decided I would go to TAFE Illawarra and get a qualification. I decided to do the Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) so that I could do whatever I wanted at the end. I could continue at TAFE or go to uni - I could do anything In fact, I have just completed my first year at the University of Wollongong studying a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies. But my greatest achievement this year was obtaining an internship in the professional field I hope to establish my career in, an internship at the St George Illawarra Dragons. I owe it all to TPC, the incredible teachers and the amazing group of people I was lucky enough to study with during my time there. TPC is the best thing I have ever done in my life, without it I would still be a check-out chick. See pages 5 and 10 for more information on fees, charges, delivery modes and other options.
