PROJECT FACT SHEET Basic Information Name: Preservation of cultural heritage of the South Baltic Region Acronym: CRAFTLAND s Lead Beneficiary: City of Pruszcz Gdański Programme Priority Axis: 2 - Attractiveness and Common Identity Measure: 2.4 - Local community initiatives Summarised description of the project: The overall idea of the project is to intensify intercultural dialogue by creating a partnership network which will work together on organisation of cross-border events. The planned events aim at getting to know each other s cultural heritage in the scope of sport, crafts and folk music. The project s activities involved the following sets of actions: - Organisation of City Tournaments where the partners groups will compete in various sport disciplines specific for the region; - Organisation of Festival Market including stands, music and workshops focusing on the old handicraft; - Organisation of International Crafts and Folk Festival concentrating on presentation of musical heritage and crafts. Each one of the above mentioned events will be organised in each participating region which means 9 cross-border events during the whole project lifetime. The main target groups are citizens of partner towns and regions and tourists visiting partner destinations. The project is directed also to local sportsmen, musical groups and craftsmen taking part in the above mentioned events. 1
