HSA COURSE SCHEDULE SPRING 2015 HOW TO REGISTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION The Harlem School of the Arts accepts all students ages 2-18 without an audition. Register your child today for our quality education programs in Music, Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts! Secure your place in your favorite classes. Registration for new and returning families opens April 25th, 2015. THE REGISTRATION PROCESS 1. Choose a Class Review our online course catalog and schedule to choose a class. Applicants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to register. 2. Fill Out Forms Visit www.hsanyc.org to download and complete the 3 required documents below: and complete all three required forms: Registration Form Enrollment Policies Agreement Student Medical Form Digitally: print and complete the documents, then scan and email to register@hsanyc.org Hard copy: Print and fill out forms and mail or drop them off in person at the HSA Registration Office, 645 St Nicholas Avenue, New York NY 10030. To ensure your child s enrollment, registration forms and fees must be received by September 1, 2015. Incomplete registration materials will not be accepted. 3. Pay Registration Fee A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure spot in classes and apply for financial aid. Only fully registered students will be allowed to start classes on September 29, 2015. TUITION DISCOUNTS $100 OFF 2015-16 CLASSES! HSA TUITION RATES 2015-16 Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Students and their families are encouraged to register for the entire year as soon as possible to secure their place. Please note that the school term is now 32 weeks (September 29, 2015-June 11, 2016). Registration Fees are now eliminated and have been incorporated into the class tuition, slightly increasing the cost of classes. FINANCIAL INFORMATION Forms of Payment HSA accepts cash, personal checks, cashier s checks, money orders, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover for tuition payments. If any transactions result in non-payments (Non-sufficient funds checks, credit cards, etc.), there will be a $50 fee added to your account. Non-Refundable Deposit There is a nonrefundable deposit of $100 due at the time of registration. Except where noted, tuition does not cover the cost of costumes, dress code attire, composition notebooks, instrument rental, and other supplies, although some instructional materials may be provided. Financial Aid Financial aid is available for full year enrollment only. The financial aid deadline for the 2015-16 school year is July15, 2015. No late applications will be accepted. Flexible Tuition Payment Options* The Harlem School of the Arts (HSA) offers its families the flexibility of payment plan options, allowing the convenience of paying your tuition in full or in installments over the year. Regardless of your chosen payment option, the first tuition payment is due by September 15, 2015 and all tuition for the year must be paid in full no later than March 15, 2015. Tuition for Full Year of 2015-16 are due by September 15, 2015 and can be paid as follows: 1. Pay tuition in full - 1 single payment by September 15. 2. Pay tuition in 2 payments Payment #1 due Sept 15, 2015 Payment #2 due Jan 15, 2016 3. Pay tuition in 4 payments Payment #1 due by Sept 15, 2015 Payment #2 due by Nov 15, 2015 Payment #3 due by Jan 15, 2016 Payment #4 due by Mar 15, 2016 * These plans require enrolmment in our auto-payment plan system. HSA is a nonprofit that costs $3.8 million to run each year ($300K per month). We receive $1.5 million in tuition, and the remaining 60% is subsidized by generous donations, just like other nonprofits.
