STUDENT EQUITY LEADERSHIP GROUP If you're interested in becoming a new member in the Student Equity Leadership Group, please see Mrs. McLaughlin (Rm. 165) or Mrs. Feig (Counseling Office) to pick up an application. Applications are due September 9th.

PSAT REGISTRATION Register online for the PSAT Sept 7-22 www.totalregistration.net/psat/263197 Cost is $20. Test given at RSHS on Wed Oct. 19 Test is open to all students grades 10-11 *Strongly recommended for 10th & 11th graders in Honors, AP, or advanced math classes.

ZAPS ACT The ZAPS ACT Test-Prep Seminar will be held again at Rockwood Summit on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9am to 3pm. The cost is $84.99. Register at www.doorwaytocollege.com. Info is also available in the counseling office.

VOTE! Do you want to vote in Presidential Election in November? If you are 17 1/2 and will turn 18 by election day, you can register to vote here at Rockwood Summit. See Mrs. Mennel at the back of the main office for a voter registration card. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Oct. 12.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS Teenage Health Consultants is looking for new members! Come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 14, in Room 254 either before or after school. If you can't make it, see Mrs. McKnight!

HOMECOMING! Date cards for homecoming are now available. If you want to bring a guest to homecoming, a date card must be filled out, signed and turned in to your grade level office no later than Thursday, Sept. 15th. You can pick up date cards in main office and all grade level offices. Do you want to ride in a limo with all of your friends to Homecoming? The Silver Stars are raffling off a 10 person limousine ride prior to the Homecoming Dance. Tickets are $10 and you can purchase them from a Silver Star or from Coach Taylor in the Main Office.

HOMECOMING INFORMATION MONDAY: Tickets are on sale for homecoming this week Monday through Thursday at lunch for $10. Friday the price will raise to $15. Bring 5 canned good items to get 5 dollars off of your ticket. Make sure to wear your tie dye or 70s wear for taffy tie dye tuesday tomorrow! TUESDAY: Don t forget to get your homecoming ticket this week for ten dollars until thursday or friday for 15 dollars. Bring 5 canned good items to get 5 dollars off of your ticket. Support your class tomorrow by wearing your classes color. Freshman are yellow, sophomores are red, juniors are green, and seniors are blue. WEDNESDAY: If you still need your homecoming ticket make sure to bring 10 dollars to lunch tomorrow or 15 on friday. Bring 5 canned good items to get 5 dollars off of your ticket. Get out your favorite jersey and cap because tomorrow is babe ruth sports day! THURSDAY: You can still get your ticket to homecoming tomorrow for 15 dollars or 10 if you bring 5 canned goods which will be donated to circle of concern. Its CRUNCH time!! Wear your black This is our house shirt tomorrow for the black out pep rally. FRIDAY: Todays homecoming parade starts at 6pm. Make sure that if you are going to the homecoming dance tomorrow night that you arrive no later than 8pm. The dance ends at 10pm.

SOUTH TECH Any student who is interested in South Tech can sign up with Mrs. Tucci in the Counseling Office, Room 270, to visit with the Admissions Representative. The Admissions Rep from South Tech comes to Summit twice a month to visit with interested students. You can apply at that time or just get information with no commitment. You can sign up anytime.
