Given the context of remote, rural, and urban care, provided through primary and specialty care, the participants of this conference will review common concerns and learning points relevant to our patient populations in an interdisciplinary setting. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES This conference aims to: 1. Identify common best practice approaches to the management of antepartum and intrapartum care. 2. Discuss common gynecological issues faced by women throughout their lifespan. 3. Demonstrate enhanced delivery of care throughout Northern Ontario. Diagnose and manage genitourinary syndrome of menopause. Assess the efficacy and safety of complementary therapies and unregulated preparations in menopausal women. 14:00-14:30 Office management of spontaneous abortion Dr. Louise Knowles Diagnose early pregnancy loss. Identify patients who are candidates for medical management of missed or incomplete abortion. Prescribe treatment and manage side effects and conduct appropriate follow up for patients with early pregnancy loss. 14:30-15:00 LARC Dr. Laura Power Identify potential myths and barriers to the use of LARC in patients requesting contraception.
