***IMPORTANT*** Select the modules (courses) that you intend to take at NUS. Modules are subject to availability and approval by the respective academic department. You will have the opportunity to confirm these modules or register for alternate ones during the pre-registration and registration period at NUS. Select 10 modules on the application since not all may be available during the term you are studying at NUS. Faculties are independent and determine their own module and examination schedules. It will be easier to drop modules than add them after arrival. The 1000 series modules are for first year students, the 2000 series are for upper division students and the 3000 series are for third year students. Generally, the 4000 and higher series are for honor level and research. 5000 series are graduate level. It is recommended that you select courses in the 2000 and 3000 series. Be flexible regarding your choice of modules. NUS does not guarantee acceptance into the modules you list on the application. You will find out which courses have been approved with your NUS admission notice approximately one month before departure. Tips: Select 10 modules for each term that you will be studying at NUS. Distribute your module selection. Do not to focus all of your module selections in impacted faculties (ex. Business, Economics). Bring a current, unofficial transcript with you to Singapore in case prerequisites are required. Basic Chinese Language and Business/Economics Courses: If you are interested in taking these types of courses, include it on the application because they fill up quickly. Due to high demand, students will at most only receive one Business/Economics course.
