Camping and Section Passes: **These must be requested per volunteer Go to the home page and click on Volunteers Either click on Details to the right of the volunteer name or enter the volunteer data for new volunteers Scroll Down to the page until you see Section Pass and Camping Pass Fulfillment Phase II
Section Pass: Section passes are only for those who would need to drive in restricted areas. This is different then parking passes. There is a map located on the page to assist you in selecting the right Section Pass Camping: Choose yes or no if the volunteer should receive camping An EAA member number must be entered for the volunteer in order for them to receive camping Fulfillment Phase II
At the discretion of the Volunteer Chair and Staff Liaison for each area, the following additional rewards may be granted: o A complimentary daily wristband for volunteers contributing at least 4 hours of volunteer time $30 member-value o A complimentary weekly wristband for volunteers contributing at least 20 hours of volunteer time $121 member-value o Complimentary camping at Audrey s Park or any EAA camping locations may be available for key volunteers that contribute at least 60+ hours of volunteer time for AirVenture $26 / day member value** **A key volunteer is someone that is essential to the volunteer area s operations. Examples include volunteers who are leaders, who are essential in the planning/preparing process, or who have a special technical skill that is needed in the area. At the discretion of the Volunteer Chair, areas of convention may have more stringent rewards. Succession Planning is is a process for identifying and developing internal people with the potential to fill key volunteer leadership positions in the organization. Succession planning increases the availability of experienced and capable volunteers that are prepared to assume these roles as they become available. Succession Planning/Volunteer Center Project
Volunteer Center Volunteers will be contacting you to collect: Brief (1 to 2 sentence) summary of your area A brief understanding on your volunteer recruitment needs What volunteer positions do you usually need recruitment for What is the training required for the position Identification of your Volunteer Chairs/Co-Chairs that are viewed as potential successors Depending on the size of your area, 1-3 potential successors Succession Planning/Volunteer Center Project
Area AV 2015 Recommendations Airshow Begins at 1:00 pm scheduled through 3:30 pm Controlled air space until 4:00 pm for potential departure ceremony (planning in process) Aircraft Display Ensure planes stay in display location until 3:00 pm no early movement for staging Forums and Workshop Forums open until 1:00 pm, although on reduced schedule. All pack up activity takes place in the afternoon, after start of the airshow. Museum Closes at 4:00 pm, as normal Admissions Close admissions operations and admissions gate at 2:00 pm Restricted entrance through main gate after closing, limited to advance purchase customers Exhibits Close at 4:00 pm. Tear down begins after that time. Welcome Center Open until 5:00 pm, to support any traffic during exit process Pathways, Aviation Gateway Open until 4:00 pm Raffle Conduct drawing at 4:00 pm in Welcome Center Food & Beverage All open until 4:00 pm Interior site locations open until 5:00 pm Retail All open until 4:00 pm Wearhouse open until 5:00 pm Site Transportation Service on all routes until 4:00 Service on primary routes until 5:00 Parking remains until lots activities are completed Security / ER Available where and as needed, based on activities and crowd size Wind Down Party Starts at 5:15 pm, runs until 7:30 pm Last Day Sunday Recommendation
