By 2015, Navy will reduce petroleum use by 50 percent. 50,000 vehicles in Navy s Inventory Focus on acquisition of Flex Fuel vehicles, Hybrids and electric. Alternative Energy sources (Bio-Fuels) By 2020, at least 50% of Navy s shore-based energy requirements will come from alternative sources.
