Course Description Our course is designed to educate physicians and other healthcare professionals on topics such as medication management for chronic pain, treatment of peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia and more. This up-to-date information will allow them to prescribe safe and efficacious therapies for the management of pain. Current topics will be presented including opioid management, neurostimulation, accurate diagnosis of pain and the interventional treatments available. This focus is directed towards all levels of clinicians and healthcare providers who are involved in the care of patients with common and advanced pain problems. Target Audience The conference is free to our invited guests. Our educational conference is certified to offer CME, CEUs, CDMS, CCM credits. We have applied for CLE credits. We also have credits for nurses and adjusters! This activity is designed to provide information on the diagnosis and treatment of pain to Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Rheumatologists, Family Medicine Physicians, Physiatrists, Psychologists, Attorneys, Nurses, Case Managers, Adjusters, and any other interested health care professionals interested in the diagnosis and treatment of pain. Objectives Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to: u Utilize best practice options for treating chronic pain. u Develop an understanding of the other side of Workers Compenstation, through the Carriers perspective. u Identify those patients that could benefit from the use of Spinal Cord Stimulation and/or Drug Delivery Systems. u Discover other treatment options such as Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery u Compare and contrast opioid treatment options. u Gain an insight into back pain from a radiologic standpoint. Accreditations Physicians: 4.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits Category 2 credit from the AOAs. Nurses: 4.0 Contact Hours. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Inc.
