MAKING SENSE OF YOUR FUTURE
Welcome to Porterhouse Medical Porterhouse Medical is a medical communications agency based in Reading and working with clients across the world. Medical communications agencies act as a link between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals (HCPs). We communicate our pharmaceutical clients educational and marketing messages to interested, relevant HCPs, while also soliciting HCPs opinions to ensure that our clients endeavours are providing a valuable service to patients and to healthcare in general. We do this through provision of marketing, educational and training materials (printed and/or electronic) and through organisation and delivery of educational meetings. The materials we prepare and programmes we run for HCPs may focus on specific medicinal products or convey disease awareness in general; we also produce items for patients and for those who pay for medicines within the NHS and other healthcare organisations. We have in-house expertise in all of these areas and consequently are able to offer a wide variety of services to our pharmaceutical industry clients.
What do our people do? ED IT O At Porterhouse, we believe that the editorial and account management teams should work together very closely, as both can provide valuable contributions to strategic direction for our clients. New graduates joining the company will be exposed to both areas of the business, in order to gain an appreciation of the role each team performs. AC C The key function of our account managers is to manage and grow existing business, and develop future opportunities. They do this by building and maintaining strong working relationships with our clients to gain an understanding of their needs and objectives. Working handin-hand with the editorial team, they ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and are aligned with clients strategic objectives; they also take the lead on the organisation of events and meetings. O U N TS AL The editorial team is built around our medical writers who develop the content of our materials, producing copy that is clear, concise, scientifically accurate, and appropriate for the audience for whom it is intended (be that HCPs, patients, budget holders or internal pharmaceutical company staff). In addition, our talented, creative designers are integral to our editorial team, producing eye-catching artwork to showcase our award-winning medical writing. RI Speaking generally, our employees are split into two teams the editorial team and the account management team
