This student-led program meets one Wednesday per month. 1st Student Body Mass of the Year: Mass of the Holy Spirit Lindland Theatre August 15, 2016

As we begin all things, we find guidance and comfort in God and His word in this year's first Mass. Throughout the year, the Liturgy team is tasked to plan and support all school liturgies. They are supported by the Lancers and Riordan Chorale during these celebrations. All interested students are invited to participate as Altar Servers as well. KAIROS Senior Retreat #89 Westminster Woods, CA September 20-23, 2016 Recognized as one of the "top five experiences at Riordan" by graduates, the Kairos retreat is a special opportunity for seniors to explore their relationship with God, families, and friends. Alumni give back and help lead this incredible retreat along with our faculty and staff.

Rosary Rally San Francisco October 08, 2016 A group of students joined Archbishop Cordileone and thousands of faithful in downtown San Francisco for this unique spiritual experience. Marianist LIFE Community (MLC): "Pumpkin Palooza" ARHS October 20, 2016 A collaboration with the DJ Club and LIFE Team, this lunchtime event helped to show that God's light can shine within us to help us fight off our fears and insecurities. Canned Food Drive Benefitting SF Food Bank November 3-22, 2016

The Riordan community donated over 4,000 canned, boxed, and bagged items and contributed an additional $1,000 in donations to support various food pantries in San Francisco. It was a season of generous heart. Thanksgiving Prayer Service: "We Thank God For Our Gifts and Talents" Lindland Theatre November 22, 2016 The LIFE Team led this year's Thanksgiving Prayer Service by highlighting the various ways that our student body shares their gifts and talents. They affirmed each area of the school with a prayer and presented gifts to create an Altar of Blessings. They invited Hula, ASL, Riordan Chorale, and Guitar clubs to participate during the service. The

service ended with a special video presentation of the student community. San Francisco Fire Department Christmas Toy Drive November 29 - December 16, 2016 The Riordan community collected more than three bins full of toys. Thank you to parents, students, and faculty and staff who participated. SFFD was really impressed! Christmas On Campus with St. James and St. Anthony-Immaculate Conception ARHS December 9, 2016

This year Riordan invited the kindergarten classes from St. James and St. Anthony- Immaculate Conception to visit Riordan for a special holiday prayer service, reception, and Santa visit with individual gifts for each child. It was an incredible success thanks to the generosity of students and parent donations and volunteers. This event was a collaboration with Riordan Chorale, the Riordan Band, Latinos Unidos, and senior Patrick Brown (as Santa). Celebrating 200 Years of the Marianist Sisters and the Society of Mary

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Marianist Sisters and the Society of Mary, the Bicentennial Triptych visited Riordan on November 30 before traveling to Marianist institutions across the world (next stop after Riordan was St. Louis, MO). The triptych has an icon/image of the Wedding Feast of Cana in the center and the sides display an original letter from Fr. Chaminade and another from Mother Adele. The school community was invited to visit the Chapel for a prayer service and reflection during each school period, which was organized by Dean of Community Life Catherine Mifsud and Board of Trustee member Bro. David Betz from the Marianist Community. The LIFE team helped lead the first prayer service of the day. Learn more about the Bicentennial Year and the triptych here. Peanut Butter Jelly Time! Students made over 2,300 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches this semester, which are donated directly to soup kitchens in San Francisco and delivered by Theology Instructor Mr. John Ahlbach.

Class Visits to St. Anthony's Foundation Every Sophomore theology course makes a visit to St. Anthony's Foundation in San Francisco. The students learn first hand about the issues surrounding resources and assistance to the homeless population, and take volunteer shifts to serve lunch. This semester Ms. Mifsud's and Mr. Ahlbach's classes had the opportunity to serve. Weekly and Third Sunday Masses Weekly Masses are celebrated in the Chapel every Wednesday after school at 2:35 pm, with faculty, staff and student clubs and teams in attendance. Every third Sunday of the month at 5:00 pm is our Faith & Fellowship Mass, followed by hospitality. Riordan's chaplain Fr. Cameron Faller presides over both celebrations and delivers powerful messages to our students, faculty and staff, and Riordan community. All are welcome and encouraged to attend and bring a guest!

Riordan Chorale Club Chorale works very closely with Campus Ministry using their musical talents in liturgies, prayer services, and other Campus Ministry events. In December, they combine forces with Mercy High School SF for their Winter Concert and then again with the Riordan Band at our Christmas Concert.
